After the 911, the 928 is the best Porsche ever made. My father has owned 3 of them & I can't wait to have one of my own. Simply beautiful!!
IMHO, I'm not sure the general Porsche fans/buyers agree with that, look at the classifieds, a 1995 928GTS is priced anywhere between $40-$66k (look at rennlist.com) Now how much is a 1995 C4 worth today?
Looks great. The best part is the v8 under the hood and driving it A neighbor sadly just sold his I loved riding in that thing with him, hopefully he'll pick up something cool again.
Rebecca De Mornay would be a pretty good accessory to this car as well! "The dream is always the same. Instead of going home, I go to the neighbors'. I ring, but nobody answers. The door is open, so I go inside. I'm looking around for the people, but nobody seems to be there. And then I hear the shower running, so I go upstairs to see what's what. Then I see her; this... girl, this incredible girl. I mean, what she's doing there I don't know, because she doesn't live there... but it's a dream, so I go with it. "Who's there?" she says. "Joel," I say. "What are you doing here?" "I don't know what I'm doing here; what are *you* doing here?" "I'm taking a shower," she says. Then I give her: "You want me to go?" "No," she says; "I want you to wash my back." So now, I'm gettin' enthusiastic about this dream. So I go to her, but she's hard to find through all the steam and stuff; I keep losing her. Finally I get to the door... and I... find myself in a room full of kids taking their college boards. I'm over three hours late; I've got two minutes to take the whole test. I've... just made a terrible mistake. I'll never get to college. My life is ruined" Jay
I always knew you had good taste!! It is actually the best road going normal production porsche ever made if you knew the engineering and tech that goes in one and why the engines are usually bullet proof until well past 250K. Belongs to the gent who runs the 928 registry website, 1 of 3 he has.
Hi guys, I'm new here, this is my very first post. A fellow 928 enthusiast sent me a link to this conversation when he saw a picture of my black GTS posted on this thread. Thanks for all the nice comments about the car (except of course for GianPaolo - just kidding, 928s are very polarizing I know). The car is quite unique in and out not to mention it is the 6th from the end of 928 production. Came from Germany with 17 options (doesn't sound like a lot I know but when you consider most GTSs came with 1 or 2 it is a lot) and had an MSRP of $100,000 plus. Here is a link to the page with lots more pics of the car. http://www.928registry.org/1995-928GTS-36.htm Here's a couple pics of all three 928s: Black GTS - 1995 automatic Blue GTS - 1995 5-speed Green 928 - 1978 Automatic (1,400 original miles!) and one of the wild interior Hope you guys enjoy..... Hi Chuck, Awesome cars, I always admire 928s. Sorry I put your car without permission, I hope you don't mind
No worries. Anytime someone speaks positively of the 928 that's a good thing in my opinion. While the 911 is a great car (my wife and I have had two and currently have a 997 on order), it always amazes me how many non-911 owner car nuts like the 928 while the vast majority of 911 owners will turn their noses up at the car. Go figure.
my dads got a 911 and all he ever talks about is getting a 928. Saw the perfect one in ct but it was an auto. great car though.
