That is very cool! Never knew anyone tried to make those. Found more info here: http://www.amug.org/~jthomas/watch.html
you guys have good taste Greg is a nice guy and i'll go back when i convince myself that i really do need the TAG Monaco...
Why not ? A Submariner can absolutely handle daily wear its not fragile. I have worn my 2 tone Submariner for 17 years now, every day and its never missed a minute. When I took it for cleaning 7 years ago, the jeweler gave me all kinds of crap, scratched, beat up, weld splatter, grind marks when I slipped one time, I never take it off. Its not a fragile watch so why not wear it daily ? I wore my stainless one daily for 15 years before I got the 2 tone and same thing, its not fragile, it can handle motorcycle crashes and all the other bad things that happen to people in their late teens and early 20s. I did break the stainless bracelet once, not cheap to repair but the watch never stopped working. I fail to understand why have not one but 2 of these and not wear them daily (well one at a time of course).
i wear a different watch a day. here are some of em: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Steve, that is a crazy looking watch bro. Very, very cool! Reminds me a of a funky watch I had in the 80's that ran on water. I really wish I still had it. Very hard to explain. It was the size of a "calculator watch" but instead of all the calculator buttons it had this area/box that soaked up water. I swear it was real! Cheers, Vasco
I know what you mean. I really wanted a Submariner 50th Anniversary Edition (green bezel) but started thinking of things like "opportunity cost" and suddenly the appeal was lost...
And I know what *you* mean ! Can't believe that Rolex marketing is so good that people get interested in a watch because it has a f***'ing *GREEN* bezel for the first time ever, with almost nothing else changed (except some very slight dial changes)! And I looked and thought about it *really* hard myself - but thankfully said "no" finally.
Yeah... add alittle green dye to the 5 cent plastic bezel (which they charge 80$ for from rolex usa), and all of a sudden the watch can retail for 2000$ more.
I spoke with Panerai today and they told me the Ferrari Panerai will now be out in September. Supposedly a picture will be going to the dealers in April/May.
This is a GREAT reason for Panerai to come up with something new and a little Different I hope they don't just throw the Ferrari Logo on the dial and caseback and call it a day...
I think you really get a good watch for the money. These are some of the MANY watches I own for the exception of the Breitling (note: these are not my pictures, I'm not talented enough to take them). After the holidays and now a family vacation coming soon, I will have to wait until I can purchase the discontinued 659 crosswind (I'm a sucker for blue dials) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
