Hugo Boss fits me off the rack...so I like that.

Clubs seem to do well for me as well.

Guy I work with made little money, but dressed like a million dollars, I mean ... really really well.

When it came time for my wedding, I asked him which tailor he used, turns out he got all of his suits custom made by a Haitian in a bad section of Brooklyn. Guy's day job apparently is making furniture, he does suits on the side. $300 got me into the best suit I've ever had. Nothing special on the materials, but it fit like a glove, was made exactly the way I like it (straight legs, no taper, double belt loops crossed over, European lapel, no jacket pockets, 1 pant pocket on the rear, etc ...). Seriously, it was a fantastic suit ... if only my shirt was as nicely tailored.

Zegna are the best 'name' suits.

Best overal suits still are custom though.

Custom by Antonio Solito! Nothing can beat that.

Then I like Kiton, Gucci, and Emporio armani. The cut on the Armani is great for a person like me.

For off-rack brand, Brioni, Armani, Boss are what I wear for work, and Prada, Gucci, D&G is for casual occasion & some for work, too.

I also like Polo Purple, Paul Smith, & Burberry.

    Versace has nice shilouette, also.

Nina Ricci & Aquasqutam (sp?) was wonderful in 80's, but I don't see them lately.

I basically buy whatever if it looks good & priced right though...

Well I think it depends on your size. I am 6' 3" on the thin lanky side and I love Boss, Calvin Klein and DKNY.....These suits fit supreme. For nice stylish jackets Armani wins hands down. I travel a lot to Asia and find that I like suits with "highly wound fabric" This means the fabric at the microscopic level looks kind of like a cork screw....hard to explain...my wife is a fashion designer and knwo all the technical stuff.....but the suits with highly wound fabrics like Boss, Calvin Klein, DKNY all use this fabric in their high end suits....the nice thing is when you travel and pull it out of your suit case it will be wrinkled, but hang it in your closet and then the next morning 98% of all wrinkles are gone....works great.....These suiote can be expensive though....I pay about $650 for a nice Kalvin, Boss or DKNY suit.....you can finf them on sale at Macy's at certain times for around $500.....any that is my thoughts.

    Cerruti (?). Only have/need one.
I'm cheap, but an easy OTR fit.
I will admit to an unreasonable desire for a 'killer' tailored suit, but I'd probably only wear it in my casket. So, I ask myself, 'Why'?

Canali, better construction than Armani and the fashion brands (D&G, Gucci etc...) at a better price.

But of course the best is anything by a good tailor made just for you.

Brioni. Hey, if it's good enough for Bond, it's good enough for me. - :D

I also like the subtle, elegant designs of the darker suits that are part of the Barneys label.

I like the stuff from Armani, Gucci and D&G but everyday I wear Jack Victor suits that I buy from a little tailor in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

I wear suits indoors and outdoors in ALL weather (rain and snow included) so it pains me to wear anything more than an $800 suit and slog it around in a slushy parking lot for an hour.

Right now all I have are Zara suits. But for $250 + $100 tailoring, they do look pretty good.

Once I can afford it, I'd like Eredi Pisano. I just love their cut. If you ever see pictures of Mory Kaba, the store manager, you'll see how great they look.

If money was no object, I think I'd have a closet full of Attolini or bespoke Kilgour :)

Everytime I walk by Domenico Vacca, I just drool! Its like the one store that I'm afraid to go in, though. So far out of my league.

I was up on Rodeo on Saturday, primarily looking for a new wallet and trying some Hermes cologne, but I completely fell in love with this one Tod's laptop bag. $1950. If anybody wants to let me live vicariously through them, go buy one from Seta (awsome sales lady) and send me pics! :)
