Maybe by painting the sections of the grill directly under the tail lights the color of the body and leaving the black carbon fiber exposed in the middle will make it more managable?

Can anyone p-shop masters try this?

Works well with Black, wouldn't want it on any other color. Might work with that gunmetal color (what it called again?) Sorta takes away the aesthetics of the car. It does real well at giving a racy appearance. If you want to be different from the rest of F430 owners, this is an option you'll want. Like or dislike.

Anyone know the complete cost for the grille along with installation on a 430?

Something like this ? I attached two pictures, first with only painted sides, and the second with painted sides, no middle piece, bigger cavallino and a register plate (to help visualize real car).

However I'll cast my vote on the OEM challenge grill.

So who is the firt one to move the exhaust up, like in the challenge cars ? ;)

Thank you. What if you already own the car and just wanted to change the stock grille?

    Nicke,

How about making the CF in two pics all body colored?

I think the grill looks great. Here's another pic hijacked from a separate thread. IMO it's exactly what that tall-ish rear end needed. I do like the standard rear, but this makes it better to me. I love it!

You'd have to change the entire rear bumper assembly. You'd be going from a one-piece to two-piece bumper.

Is there really that much of a heat issue that you need to change the rear grill or is this just a look thing?

If you bought new OEM parts you'd probably spend close to $10,000 on the conversion.

    Yes, it's nothing at all like switching a 355 or 360 rear grille - a $1000 proposition.

Don't like the way it messes w/ the lines at the rear. It also messes w/ the way the car looks when the engine lid is open. On a stock car the lines flow from the rear quarters into the grill, with the Challenge grill it just stops. Plus it adds more body panel gaps. This wasn't the case on the 360. When the F430CS comes out it will make more sense but not on the F430.

I don't like it at all in body color. I was hoping it would look better.

I guess we should all get used to seeing every 430CS in triple black if they ever announce it! I hope you won't be forced to take the challenge grill for a CS.

Just saw on the road a brand new F430 with the OEM challenge grill. The car was rosso corsa/tan with sports seats and red calibers. The challenge grill was looking a LOT better than i thought it would and i was surprised by that. In my opinion in a darker colour it would be even better!! That said i don't know if i would spec my car with this extra

everyone is down on the carbon fiber grill. I think it looks hot and the car above proves it. Everyone I know that has seen the carbon fiber grill in person say "its a must have". These previous pictures werent doning it justice. It also seperates the older f430s from the new ones. I ordered the carbon fiber grill and can't wait to get it.
