Believe it or not, the "choking on a boiled egg" response was the correct one.

Round 23...In 1951 a young driver was about to drive for Ferrari but at the last minute Enzo replaced him, and he never drove for them. Who was the driver?

    Who is "Sterling" Moss?

It was indeed Stirling Moss who traveled to Bari at the invitation of Enzo to drive a new Tipo 500, but when he took a seat in the car, he was kicked out and told that the drive had gone to Taruffi.

Round 24...Enzo Ferrari was an honorary member of this regions chapter of this club during the early 1960's. There was even a trophy named after him. Name the club and the region he was an honorary member of.

Just lurking here, thought I'd pose a question--no points to be awarded..

How many total F1 drivers have driven for Ferrari since the inception of its F1 program? Bonus--list them per decade?

(Only drivers who turned a wheel in competition, no test drivers)

I'm gonna take a couple of guesses but I think they're both wrong, since I can't find any references to a "region" of these clubs...

    British Racing Drivers' Club?

    La Società Maranello Sportiva?

I found references to a Trofeo Enzo Ferrari associated with both organizations, but I'm not certain either one is correct.

Enzo ferrari was honorary president of Circolo Sportivo Ferraristi, Mantova region.
Founded in 1956, it is the oldest Ferrari Club. Someone knew a good thing when they saw it...

Are you going to keep this thread going while you're in Monterey? It's become my favorite thread... If you'll be out of town, pass the reins to someone else... maybe NNO since he has all the reference material to pull questions from.)

(I'm just bummed cause I'm not going to Monterey after all... :( )

Have any additional information on that? Not the correct answer I'm looking for as it was in the early 60's and he was simply an honorary member, he didn't hold any positions in the group.

I'm glad I have followers of this thread. It's become a great learning experience for me too. I will keep it going while I'm in Monterey. I will have my laptop with me that's always connected to the internet, if not I have my phone which is as well. On top of that I will be uploading a ton of pictures from Jim's unveiling, the Ferrari event (most likely the 599 unveiling), and the Concours d'Elegance. I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to the Concorso however :-(.

on my browser the type on the website is white on white... you have to highlite it to see it but here it is in italian...

my real rusty italian - with the help of Google translator - says that means he was honorary president...

i just figured they didnt get around to the honorarium till the 4 or so years later...

drat. i'm runnin out of ideas fast....
