man that sucks for the owner. but the pics look like photoshops, the way the car is being engulfed. im not saying the pics are fake though.

that tour won't be around next year. glad i caught it. we broke the aston martin db9 vert on our tour. seems like these cars are taking a beating. i know i did what i could for the z06. didier was in the 430 in front of the lambo i was driving doing 150 down 66 in va. we drove the piss out of all of them.
That is very frightening to look at. It reminds me of some Pinto and Mustang fires in the 60's from rear end collisions. In those cases the bodies distorted from the impact, the doors jammed, and the occupants were unable to get out and were burned alive. It was just disgusting!
I was taking pictures of my F430 today and it spontaneously combusted. The ambient temperature was near 100, but it was a dry heat. I wonder if there is something up with titanium colored F430's? Here is the unbelievable pic of mine going up in smoke. Steve Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL! Steve, hello!!!! Arizona Summer sun.........telescope............Ferrari......Poof! You must be more careful with those powerful optics in the daylight....
Thanks for the shots. You should have put your name on them or something. They'll be all over the net now Were the headlights still working among the molten mess on the ground?
better to let them burn. no one's going to buy your rebuilt burn out anyway, after you wait a year for the rebuild..
You guys are SO funny!! I did not mean the 360 Challenge burned to the ground at Indy, only that the car looked VERY impressive going down the front straight past my seats with the rear glass filled with flames!!! They put it out and went on truckin', IIRC....... That's what I do with my engine compartment fires.... I have a trunk FULL of fire extinguishers, no joking........
I was signed up for the Aug 29th Napa stop of this event. It is now postponed til Novemeber because of this accident. Nothing will be left of the cars by then and it is the raint season so I requested a refund.
I beleive that a new 430 has been acquired and that together with a Gallardo, Ford GT, Continental GT, Z06 and one other, probably a DB9 to be defined the program will be on the road in Santa Fe on Sept 1st.
