Anybody that owns one have any likes/dislikes about it? Is it worth the money?

I just got my GTO and FXX in. I really like them both. Good quality. Bought them off of ebay. Don't really know what else to say. I was stoked from the beginning because the elite GTO was going to be more detailed than the regular GTO and cost about the same as the regular one was going for on ebay.

I got a TDF fxx and was very impressed, and i just wondered if the GTO was as good.

I ordered one, and the pictures look good. Compared to the original Mattel 288, some details are great: The wheel centers are silver like they should be and the side marker lights and door locks look better. Two things I question: the sun shield across the top of the windshield and the diameter of the wheels. The real 288 had 16 inch wheels, but the original Mattel had larger scale wheels (same as the F40 - 17 inch scale wheels with deeper dish). The Elite seems to have the larger wheels (and wider tires), too. Small detail, but the wheels should be smaller with a larger narrower profile tire, like the GTO, not the F40.

GTO tires were 225/50-16 at the front and 255/50-16 at the rear, F40 were 245/40-17 or 235/45-17 at the front and 335/35-17s in the rear. Looks like the model has F40 size scale wheels and tires.

Wont keep me from buying and enjoying it.

Got my Elite GTO today. Looks great, except for the wheels. I don't mind the size (discussed above), but they are dull flat grey. Rest of the car looks good.

While I have switched from 1/18 to 1/43 I think I'll still buy the Mattel Elite series because it is so superb. My 288 GTO is still Bburago (with changes I made to the car), so I'm sure the Elite will supass it. :)

Oh, I know that all right. Do a search for Minichamps on Ebay and look at the thousands of results.

However, you have to get a few street cars!
