Shows how much I know about old Triumphs:D

My dad had a T100 and a Tiger Cub, and I remember the vintage rallies we went to and there were 'bathtubs' there.

Though i found a rear hugger crap on my MVs. After a few miles they get chewed up by stones that get caught in the tread of the tyre and cuts the hugger, On an MV they sit about 5mm from the tyre. So they look good for a very short time. The one in Phils picture looks like a Casoli type hugger, is it Phil? I spend loads with these MV and Duke specialists. www.casoli.co.uk

On the contrary, you UK guys are twice as sport bike fanatical as we are. F*ck the choppers, they're rolling scrap heaps. You can't turn, and you can't go over 120 kmh....def not for me!

I always buy the UK "SUPERBIKE" mag, for bikes and for the TITTIES of course!!! :)

I don't love 'em. I admire people who can ride the things with talent. I consider myself to be a balanced person, but on a bike at speed I sh@ myself! Remember coming out onto a road in slippy conditions, backend snapped out but recovered before I realised what had happened.

I never went out on the bike after that really...and dont see myself on a sports bike ever!

Dude this is no siht be word for word i was going to write that 30 mins ago but i deleted it at the last second so as not to offend anyone;)
I would have one in my collection anyday just becourse of what they are as in looks and the easy rider thing. All bikes have a roll, i mean i love my Hiyabusa to death becourse of its monster grunt, but love the Italian styling of the MV Agusta.
In a nut shell, Italian food is good, Indian food is good, hell even American food is good.........all food is good:D

I ride this little beauty as often as possible. It's my GSX-R 1000 K5 with Suzuka paint, Marchesinis, Yoshi, PCIII, Ohlins, Brembo and Carbon bits etc etc. :D

I'd love to add an RC30 or 45 to the stable, but have 3 bikes in the garage at the moment as it is!

It's actually a '99 - one of the last ever CR500s. I used to race 500s in GPs, but all my bikes went back in 1990. I wished I'd kept a bike that I had raced so some years later I found the CR500 in the photo. They hadn't changed since 1991 anyway so I restored it. It's better than a new bike now and too good to ride.

The YZ125 is what I ride for fun.

500s never got the aluminium frame. Through the 80s, Open bikes went from 400cc to 500cc, and got too fast. Nobody below national championship level could ride them so the public bought 250s instead, which they could turn just as fast lap times on. Less 500s were sold, so no development dollars were invested. As a result, CR500s and the Kawasaki KX500s went unchanged, apart from graphics and minor updates, from 1990 until they stopped producing them in about '99.

State of the art these days is a CRF450, which is four stroke, and only 450cc. My CR500 is more powerful even today.

I have a 2005 Ducati 999S now, but funny thing , I agree with the other fellow that the best bike I ever had was 1986 2 stroke Suzuki RG500. My twin brother and I each had one. Cost ABOUT 3200€ NEW. i JUST FOUND ONE WITH 4,000KM...like new....won't take less than 10,500€!

    shoulda kept her!

    Cheers!
