Hey everyone - I'm new to the site. I just bought a 1968 Iso Rivolta GT and wanted to know if there are any Iso Rivolta owners out there. I have limited knowledge about the car, marque, etc., so I'm looking forward to meeting folks who know more about them. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I'd love to hear more about your new car! Which model? Where did you find it? Condition? Pictures?

The best place to meet other Iso Rivolta owners is the Varedo Group on yahoogroups.com

I purchased the Iso Rivolta GT IR 300 model via eBay. In fact, I don't even have it yet. I'm in NC and its being shipped from CA. Here are some pics from the listing.

Joe - I tried searching Varedo via Yahoo Groups and the only group was a 7 member Italian speaking group. I doubt all Iso members can read Italian, so that's probably not the right site. Thanks!

    Send an email to:[email protected]

There are about 220 members of the group.

I didn't think the Rivolta GT was still "on the books" as late as 1968, but I see that they may have been making them as late as 1970. Didn't know that! I hope you enjoy the heck out of it!

My dad had a Fidia & an S4. I sold the S4 to a guy in GA a few years ago. My fave is the Grifo, but I came close to buying a Lele a few years ago. Good luck with the car.

    Nice car!

Same concept as a 2+2 Ferrari of those days, but with much cheaper vital parts costs.

Does anyone know where I can buy this book? Amazon is out of stock, as is the publisher it seems.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I just checked the website for "books4cars" up here in Seattle, they show that they have it (for $169 - is that the normal price?). You could call or email them to confirm.

I could shoot some old magazine articles on the Rivolta to you if you are interested.

Thanks for the tip. One thing I've found is old magazine articles. I tore up eBay last week buying all sorts of magazine. Thanks again!

I bought a 1964 or 1965 issue of Road & Track with an article about the Iso-Rivolta new off the rack...did you find that one? I thought it was a neat car then, still do.

The expensive book is very good and thorough

Out of interest why did you decide to buy this car - its a very specialist thing - Chevy engine and standard Italian components !! On Ebay too....

I've always enjoyed the car. The car/seller/provenance checked out well and the price was right. This is the 4th car I've purchased on eBay. If you do your homework, I'm not sure why it doesn't make sense.

Great looking car! I think that car was at the Van Nuys Italian-French auto show. My Dad had a bunch of Iso's he imported, Grifo's, a Lele and Fidia but never one like yours. It's been at least 15 years since the last one was sold so I don't remember too much myself. I'd love to have one but they've just gotten too pricey for me, my 328's about as high as I want to go. Good luck and have fun.
