I've been collecting hand-made models for almost 40 years, and this is an AMR that I'm not familiar with. I know he did factory builts of the "standard" 275GTB, but not of this fire car.

Per the description, the model was created from memory and they are looking for photos.

OK, without any substantial evidence at the moment is it conceivable that in period a 275 would have been modified/adapted/butchered to create this?

    In your opinions....?

In my opinion, it would make no sense and, being on a military airbase, who would have paid for such a thing and why?
Even so, stranger things have happened so who knows?

This from Mike McCormack about the model itself..

Hi Stu, to my knowledge the 275GTB firetruck was only offered as a kit. I had a number of them built by AMRs son-in-law Mike Craig who owns Piranha Models and now lives with his wife and new baby boy at AMRs home with AMRs widow. Mike trained under AMR. They turned out perfect. All sold immediately over 2 years ago. Mike
