- battle royale -a clockwork orange -requiem for a dream -pans labarynth those are what popped immidiatly to mind. just remembered one more -american history X
american history x was a great movie, not the most disturbing one i've seen, but a very interesting premise, although i thought the ending was kind of weak. there is a semi-sequal to that movie with ethan suplee that i want to see, it's something along the lines of nazi meets african american girl and falls in love, sounds kind of corny but interesting at the same time. oh, i'll add american psycho to my list.
John Waters film "Pink Flamingos" is the most disturbing movie I have ever seen. Athough I did not see the whole movie. I turned it off about a half an hour into it.
Two films disturbed me greatly because they dealt with futility and human frailty and, cowardice. No blood and gore. No special effects. Just philosophy. The Seven Samurai. Subtitled Japanese film upon which The Magnificent Seven was based. Seconds. A B/W film dealing with the absurdity of getting what you wish for and paying a horrible price. See both and you just might rethink everything.
The opening scene of American History X during the curb shot.... Gives me a cold sick feeling every time.
The most disturbing movie ever made is a British film called "Threads" It was made during the 80's. It's the only realistic movie about nuclear warfare and the results.
Hey Carb, did you ever get to see it? Now that I know you a little better, I would actually have to say that you might enjoy it with your twisted humor
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory....the original version (although the new one is disturbing too) Seriously, when I was a kid and I saw that movie. The Ooompa Loompas are freaky, and all those kids dying strange mysterious deaths. And Willy Wonka going all emo at the end. It was disturbing. I will also add E.T. to the list. Saw this as a kid and it freaked me out.
....I`ll live up to my user name................Any movie Jim Glickenhaus had anything to do with. Here comes a moderator......see you later
Hi there, I have to agree and am a little surprised it only gets a few mentions here. I can only guess that not that many may have seen it. it truly shocks you to the core and makes you think about the whole sequence for a long time after. The irony of the ending for the guy who commits the first vioelnce is revealed only as you realise the film is played backwards. The brutality is breathtaking in the rape scene. I challenge almost anyone who has not scene this film to watch it and not have it as their top 3 most disturbing films. warning....do not let your daughter or wife/girlfriend watch this film.... zak
I don't know if this was mentioned before, but as far as Disturbing.. Session 9. It's one of the creepiest movies I've seen, and it plays with your head right up until the end. I recommend it.
