my ferrari book "Passione - ein Ferrari Bilderbuch" is ready and available at amazon.de http://www.amazon.de/Passione-Ferrari-Bilderbuch-Michael-Platzer/dp/3850221075/ref=pd_bowtega_1/302-9514244-2548017?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182411090&sr=1-1 now i would like to know - whats your favourite ferrari-book ? my favourites are: Scarlet Passion by Anthony Pritchard Ferrari by Pininfarina by Etienne Cornil Ferrari Sportscars and Prototypes by Antoine Prunet Ferrari by Vignale by Marcel Massini Ferrari in the Mille Miglia by Giannino Marzotto i love the pics of Mythos Ferrari of Peter Vann and also the "smaller special books" like Ferrari Concuors by Richard Newton or California Ferraris by Alfred S. Consentino. what are youre favourites ?
Ditto on 'Ferrari by Mailander' and 'Le Ferrari di Pininfarina' also '1947-1997' (the 50th anniversary book by Ferrari) Dream books: 'Ferrari in Camera' & 'Making a Difference' (droooooool) GT
My signed copy of Phil Hill's book: Ferrari, a champions view. Phil was a great champion who retired before he got killed in a time when many many were dying. His stories are always enlightening and never hurtful to others who might deserve it. A true gentleman. A really good book. Tom W
My first favorite was the original Illustrated Ferrari Buyer's Guide that I bought and drooled over as a teenager. The next is the Original Ferrari V12 by Keith Blumel and the third is Nathan Beehl's Boxer book with my name and car photos in it.
I got this one for Christmas. Since I am such a beginner Ferrari owner, this book really gave me a good history of the car models. Now i can spot a lot of similarities in the F430 that are in the cars of the 60s.. pretty wild... http://www.amazon.com/Ferrari-Complete-Guide-All-Models/dp/0760325502/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-7844438-8281436?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182437002&sr=8-2
Inside Ferrari (Michael Dregni?) was/is one of my all-time favorites....lots of great old photos inside the Ferrari factory, detailing how the cars were/are built. Unfortunately, most of the 'good books' are out-of-print, unless all you're looking for is a $600 picture book for your coffee table - just kidding.
Only five... Emotion Ferrari - Louche Ferrari by Vignale - Massini Pilote, che gente... - Ferrari Klemantaski & Ferrari - Klemantaski Ferrari the road cars - Prunet Regards, Hugo
Ferrari 1947-1997 The official book Ferrari by Pininfarina Ferrari in camera Ferrari The red dream Formula Ferrari Klemantaski & Ferrari Piloti, che gente Una vita per l'automobile
+many+ on Prunet, the road cars. Just wish it went forward a couple more years to the Testarossa/512 era. Here is one from left field - Ken Purdy's article in True Magazine (1962 or so) - "The Motor Master of Modena". First thing I ever read about Ferrari.
Excellent thread - thank you. Ferrari The Road Cars - Antoine Prunet Making A Difference - AT Anselmi Ferrari 1947 - 1997 The Official Book
that´s lots of feedback ! thanks to all ! another favourite is the book of peter braun and gregor schulz - "alle serien-und rennfahrzeuge 1947 bis heute" only very small pics but a very good overview on all models built and lots of facts.
I second everything you said, but if I could only keep one book out of my collection it would have to be "Ferrari in Camera". Not strictly a Ferrari book, but I also cherish my signed (in period) first edition of "Phil Hill: Yankee Champion." I am the first and only owner of this copy. Jack.
Wow. Congrats on one fine volume. If i may inquire, which edition do you have? The blue cloth-covered one, the (red?)leather or the Ferrari-red-painted-metal covered edition? I've seen the cloth and the metal covered editions. If yours is the leather i would love to see a pic of it, please. thx in advance... GT
I have the blue cloth-covered edition. I wish I could afford the leather covered edition (which I think is also blue), but that would have been a huge extravegance, especially with the exchange rate being what it is. I believe the leatherbound edition is still available, but the cloth and the "Ferrari" editions are sold out. Jack.
in Order: 1. Inside Ferrari 2. Piloti Che Gente & My Terrible joy - autographed by Enzo! 3. Ferrari the man & machines 4. The Original Ferrari 8 cyl & V12 5. Ferrari 50
Thanks for the reply... Yes, the 2 editions have been sold out for some time... the leather is still available. Stupid me... i checked palawan's site (why i didnt before is beyond me) and there IS a pic of the leather edition there... it is blue. http://www.palawan.co.uk/FerrariInCamera.htm once a year or so a cloth edition pops up on ebay but for astronomical prices. thanks again for the info GT
