    For those that don't visit the Podcast section I thought I would post here. This program is being re-brodcast tonight at 8pm EST on the National Geographic channel. This 45 minute report discusses the construction of the 599 start to finish

    ps - I updated the thread in the Podcast section and was debating whether or not to put a thread in the 599 section. I got to thinking this was a little excessive. What does one do when there are several sections that might be interested in a particular thread? Post in one and hope everyone sees it? Post in all that are appropriate and risk the rath of Mod?

    I've watched this thing at least 10 times. May have to skip it this time. But it's so sweet looking in HD.

    Dish Network channel 186 is included only with the Top 250 package.

    DirecTV channel 276 appears to be included in all packages except the "Choice" package.

    Did anyone watch the Z06 get built afterwards? Bowling Green looked like a dungeon next to Ferrari.

    I agree. The piece on Ferrari made it look incredible. The piece on the Corvette (I admit that I did not watch the entire piece) looked more like a mom and pop garage compared to the Ferrari factory piece. Don't misunderstand me, I would take the Corvette in a heartbeat.

    Still,you have to give props to Corvette for being able to at least
    come close to, if not match some Ferrari performance figures with
    the "mom & pop garage".

    The Z06 was interesting - definitely more high tech with the majority of the work being robotics. The amount of time to weld the superframe was amazing - wasn't it like 18 or 23 minutes? How about the part about the "trunk" portion where the robot laid a bead of glue then the form was place on it! We've been to the Ferrari Factory many times and have only seen robotics used in one area. Watching the two robots in the Ferrari Factory for a while could make you think they had feelings and were very proud of their work. . . .humanizing robots! Watching both programs was definitely superior in HD.
