? What are people paying for clean low mileage 360 spiders today
For example I have a MY01 Spider..Red/Tan 9,200 miles..One owner, Stick, shileds, grills, Power daytonas, all tools, all books, all keys, all covers, one owner with complete service with belts and new clutch..so fully loaded, with salespending @ $149,988! The average price..and true selling price has been on the riase over the past couple of weeks with even some MY04's are pushing back into the $200k range on ebay...There are some deals out there to be had, but the average prices look like this: Low mile under 10k with full service.. MY01-MY02= $149k-$165k MY03-MY04= $160-$200k (on ebay last night) MY04-MY05= $175-200k

buyers market, offer low they can take it or let it sit for another 5 months. Leases are much harder to get and 360's are not a rare car.
Ken, With all due respect..there is not as many 360 spiders on the market as it may look! We have covered this in a number of post..we took the dupont from over 250 cars listed down to 108 with 16 or more cars being listed more then once..we took ebay from over 175 cars down to 87...the list is getting lower and the prices are getting higher...Just look at prices today on ebay and the otehr site...and look at they ware back in January and Febuary....
I have to agree with Chris on this. When I was looking for an LP640 Roadster, i was only interest in a REd with black interior. I called around, and 4-5 brokers all said they have the car ready for delivery. Turns out all 5 brokers were talking about the same 1 car in a dealership in New york. So cars for sale on E-bay or other web sites, are sometimes being sold by brokers who do not actually own the car. BTw..Chris I checked out your web site, and the 360 you have for sale are really nice. They will sell quickly. Thanks, UZY
Today at dealer auction 2003 Spyder silver with 11k struggled to reach $130k and a 2001 with 18k sold for $111k
I also have to agree with Chris. I recently went through this process and finally found the 360 I wanted. At first I thought I would have dozens of cars to choose from.. In the end it was clear that there were far fewer cars actually on the market, many of which had poor or no records etc...still a buyer's market, but not as many good ones out there as it seems...
When you are looking based on low prices it has been my experience there is always a story behind the price. It's like the old adage you get what you pay for. I know when I bought my 02 black/black 3 pedal spider I looked all over the US to find one. Like above, one car/5 dealers. I just recently listed mine in ferrariads and priced it faily considering the miles and services I have had done and the condition it's in. Lot's of F1's, not many 6 spd's. I also bought a TR based solely on price as I wanted to do the Turbine project. Just my .02
Not uncommon for the Manheim...Theres a reason why these cars did not sell on the exotic dealers network...
I think your prices are optimistic, personally. About $20K too high, but then again you are trying to maximize the sales price . I dont have a horse in the race either way. Here's a 3000 mile 2004 for $169K http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Ferrari-360-Spider-Low-Miles_W0QQitemZ270221658731QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270221658731 2004 Spider 14K $149K http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Ferrari-360-Spider-Black-6-Speed-Tubi-13K-Miles_W0QQitemZ150225661457QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150225661457 2004 Spider 7k $167K http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-FERRARI-360-SPIDER-6-SPD-SERVICED-ONLY-6K-MILES_W0QQitemZ160221125814QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item160221125814 Cheers

Just to let everyone know that Ia mnot trying to maximize my sales price...Iam letting people out there know that if a low miled clean car is what you are after, with option and a great resale color with factory rims, then this retail prices range they are selling for!
Chris, I think the reality is somewhere between your numbers and some of these low ones. But I have a question for you and anyone else in the resale market. What about the extremely high dollar asking price spiders. Many of which I have seen on the market for over a year. How long will a dealer sit on a car before deciding to eat a ton on the sale? How much do you think they are into this car for? Case in point is the 2005 360 spider that Domani Motors has had for sale for at least a year. Granted it's a 2005 and very low miles, but they will never get anywhere near the asking price for that car. Its been listed at the same price of $250,000 for at least a year. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=21&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-%7cE-%7cM-_51_%7cD-_4196_%7cN-N%7cR-10000%7cI-1%7cP-PRICE+descending%7cQ-descending%7cZ-70454&aff=national&paId=195207604&recnum=0&leadExists=true There's also a few other cars with insane asking prices like this if you search the sale sites. Any insight into why these places are asking prices like this? How much do you think they are into this car for? I mean you will soon get into a 430 spider for $250K, why drop that kind of dough on a 360 now?
Great question! About 3 weeks ago when we ware talking about this topic, I got the idea to go head buld a compltete database on these cars...we went to dupont registry ware we too advertise..and we started to call the dealers with cars listed, we also looked at the date the cars was placed and how many times it had been viewed! The lsit started out with around 275 cars listed there..I called my ad rep there at Dupont, and faxed over to them our findings....after they reviewed our database, cars started to come off the site, going down to 108 cars with 16 being listed more then once...we did the samething on ebay and the list went from 150+ cars down to 87 cars...So my point is dealers keep the ads up...we also have seen that asking prices have gone up, and we know that the diffrnce between sales price and buying price is around $5,000, so the true selling price is up as well..Normally a dealer will sit on avg. 10 months with a Ferrari or Lamborghini, and then you will see them pop up on the wholesale networks right now there have only been 17 over the last 2 months.... As the car you are talking about, I am not sure if it is in instock or not...but it does get calls, simply because people want to know why it is priced that way!
What does MY mean and I have noticed significant differences between 2000 360`s and 2005 360`s. What are the major differences of each year? I used to own a 2002 360 Modena Coupe which I traded for a 2003 Spider and really did not notice any difference in performance nor aesthetics besides one being a coupe and the other a convertible?
I heard the exotic car market is getting crushed.. nothing selling... its getting really bad out there, I hear dealers dont even want to buy wholesale to keep cars in stock.. nothing selling... I hope the market gets better soon... not just the car biz, but a lot of people hurting out there...
My F430 is finally due to come in from the factory in the next 2 weeks and I have my 03 F360 to get rid of. Fortunetely, it only has 5500 miles on it, has never seen rain, and is perfect but based on this thread I hope the market isn't as worse as you guys say.
Its getting much worse, last I checked they were down to $60G's! Seeing that an '03 F360 is the worst Ferrari, I'd hesitantly take the 360 off your hands for $65G's! J/K Oh how I wish I could up my budget into the 360 league!
