Ok I have all the lines ran etc etc. I came down the passenger side pillar and now have my wire end under the passenger side dash. I need a negative 12v wire to tap into that is easily accesible............ Anybody got any simple suggestions. My electrical skills are slim. Thanks Chas
I think you did more work than necessary, deepening of course where you are mounting it and what kind of car I assume 348/355 If you are still mounting it on the window for quick removal You can just tie into your interior light and your wiring would be no more than 4-6 inches long
Hi Robert its a 355 Spider............ I wired it under the dash with a quick disconnect so that I can throw it in the trunk when parked. I was afraid somebody might steal it stuck on the windshield.
run the wire into the trunk via the hole where the heater wires go through, (easy) and tap into the abs fuse block. Jay
That sounds sketchy, eh? Personally the only thing I would want wired to my ABS is my ABS, nothing else.
Same theory as a plane. Do you want to wire into the landing gear or the coffe maker ? Stay with the clock
Into the abs FUSE-BLOCK. Not into the abs. There are four fuses there for rudimentary inconsequential functions. However, playing Devils Advocate. Lets just suppose that the V1 internally shorts out because of a solar flare, and somehow the microscopic conectors used, can then carry enough current to weld the abs fuse solid, so that it cant blow. Then, the abs computer internally melts into a blob of silcon. Well then what has happened is exactly what occurs when you press the "abs off" button on a Euro model 355. Go look at the fusebox and see for yourself. Jay
