Sorry, but if you like your 348 -- and you should given the pics in the car show :) -- this is a little extreme. Trust me, as a guy that spent a few weeks of my life thinking I'd never find a fog lamp, I've pondered the other solutions. The most practical one seemed to be to find fog/driving lamps of roughly the same size and then take them and the bumper to a body shop to have them fill in the gaps with fiberglass and repaint. I think it would look quite decent. Added bonus is that you could make them actual xenon lamps and use those to drive around at night and not the popup lamps. Cool project.... 355 bumper and fogs is another option. Final option is taking the fogs out all together and making some functional brake duct air scoops.

Seriously though, if you heed the warning and put on the protective film which I did not have, you should have no issues. The film I used was 40mil thick, that is REALLY thick. I think I could throw a brick at them now and it would be OK.

I just ordered a set from the site potxoli posted. $22.00 shipped, and it is by far the cheapest thing I have bought for my car. I would encourage everyone to do the same.

As these cars become older and parts become more rare, it only makes sense to do what we can to preserve and protect the more rare components.

Thanks for the reminder that I needed to protect these lenses.

The matching lamp is fine.... I was in the US for 3 weeks, and nothing happened while I was gone... after I catch up to the more the 800 emails in my inbox, work will resume....

I think a better word might be 'inexpensive', because there's nothing cheap about the film he uses or the value it provides. :) I saw the stuff on his lamps when I was in DC a few weeks ago. It is absolutely invisible to somebody looking at the car casually, but is seriously heavy-duty stuff and could probably withstand a Patriot missile!

Smart move. His film choice is excellent.

Here is a foglamp pic with Lamin-X applied. It's really difficult to see if you make a half decent job of it - I have tried to highlight the edge. Do it now..

There are a number of protective films on the market, but the Lamin-X was the only one I found that was available in 40mils thickness. It's inexpensive, easy to apply, and as just posted above, it is for all intents and purposes invisible.

LOL. That is my ferrari blog. Nothing to order on there :)

Are you trying to order the clear film for the fogs? That is at

    www.lamin-x.com

I am in no way associated with Lamin-x other than being a happy customer.

I'm not talking about the pre-cut size but the bulk sheets big enough to cover the fog lamps and head lights!
