    My battery light has started to flash and now the indicators are doing that rapid fire but not actually winking. The car is running perfectly mechanically but i dare'nt go on a run in case it conks out. Any ideas, i know it's an electrical gremlin but all this on the day i was going to an event.....aaaaargh!!!

    You have to suspect the alternator. Have it checked by checking voltage at the battery above 1500 rpm...should be 13.6-14.4v if alt is good. If your turn signals are acting up it truely could be you are running on a depleted battery. If you have to attend an event tomorrow I'd charge it up overnight and pray.
