I'm going to the Shanghai F1 for the first time this year. Which tickets should I buy?

Should I sit in the main straight at the start/finish line? Lower section or upper section?
    Or in turn 1?
    Or the final turn?
Where does most of the action and passing take place on this circuit?

Here is a map for your reference:

    Thanks!

i have been there the past few yrs.
for main grand stand, the best seat is HIGH section towards the left, which is near end of main straight.
make sure you get HIGH section, for low section you can not view most of the track. and if you sit right across from pits, u can not see much of turn 1.
here are 2 pics from last yr, where we sat, u look left u see turn 1+2+3, u look right its start/finish/pit.
and main grand stand is the only section thats covered.
    best seats IMO.

definitely go for the main grandstand. The cheap stands on the far side of the track are almost a one hour walk from the entrance!

The race is the race, much of the fun will be the teams arriving from Japan on the Monday and getting around town, The cars will arrive at the track on Wednesday and the teams formally at work on Thursday so if I was in town (I hope to be) I would be in and around the Bund restaurants and pubs and Xian Tian Di where the guys will hang out Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Massa like's the New Heights restaurant (along with most of the guys) Kimi likes any old bar, could be anywhere there is some much choice.

O'malley's will be full of race teams through the period.

Have fun, I hope to make it myself
