$1,350 is about four times the going rate. Is there something special about it?

Additional information - "Ferrari Design of a legend - The official history and catalog" with a dust jacket which is identical to the black covered soft back book save for the title. This hard back book is in the English Language with the notation:"English Translation of L'Idea Ferrari". There is a reference to "The Ferrari Idea - Forte di Belvedere- Florence - June 8 - September 30 1990"

There may be a print number but it is not readily apparent.

Published by Fabbri Publishing Group 1990. The last page with a number is numbered 259.

I have version 3 although I can't find the print number. Also a French text version titled as "Ferrari - Histoire et Legende", published 1991 by Celiv (ISBN 2-86535-140-8). Hardback, 261pp.

I slipped it quietly into my signed copy of "A Champion's View"........

 

I met Ben Horton at his eponymous bookstand at Goodwood Revival last weekend. He has a great selection of out of print books on Ferrari and many other marques and subjects....no web site, though. Ben's a very nice fellow and keeps an inventory here in the States from which he supplies his US customers and stocks his booth at the Monterey Historics/Pebble Beach weekend. Well, I guess it's a whole week, now!

The Japanese 250 LM book can be obtained thru Ben Horton of Horton's booksellers in the UK. Price is approx. GB Pounds 1'800 (one thousand eight hundred or north of that).

Just glad to see them, I thought I had imagined reading about it for many years..no one had one for sale...Shell Oil had forgotten they sponsored it.....LOL!

Half Price Books probably has it misfiled in Foriegn Language Titles.....

 

I finally went and bought Making a difference but I went with the digital edition because it was much cheaper. I did however go ahead and buy Metal Memory, just ordered last night so I'll be waiting awhile (hopefully here by thanksgiving/xmas when I'll have time to read it)
