    Hello all,

Once again, CAFE is proud to let you know about our events and open up registration for our Third Annual "Ferraris at Morrison". Morrison is a new upscale living/shopping/dining center in the South Park area of Charlotte. Below you will find a listing of the activities for Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. If you'd like to sign up for any of the events and/or register your Ferrari(s) for the show, please email me at [email protected]. I will email you a registration form. We of course welcome any and all who would like to visit us on the day of the show. There is no charge for spectators. I am including a photo (below) of last year's field so that you can get an idea of the scope of the gathering.

    See you there!

“Ferraris at Morrison” • Friday Events • September 26

    9am - 1pm: “Hooky Run”
    No Fee
    Hosted by Velocity Auto Couture

What better excuse to play hooky from work than a fabulous run through the scenic Carolina countryside?!?! We’ll gather at Velocity in Southwest Charlotte, then head out for a spirited drive through the winding roads outside of Charlotte. After stopping for a pay-your-own lunch, we’ll continue making our way back to finish around mid-day.

    4pm - 7pm : “Fantail” Reception
    $10 per person
    Hosted by Mastercraft of Charlotte

Later, we’ll caravan up to the North Harbor Club on Lake Norman for a relaxing evening at the marina. Mastercraft of Charlotte will have various watercraft on display while we enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided by our gracious hosts.

“Ferraris at Morrison” • Saturday Events • September 27

    11am - 3pm : “Ferraris at Morrison”
    $20 per entry

Our main event! This will be a gathering/show to be enjoyed by owners, enthusiasts, and the general public. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in a number of classes. Various vendors will be on hand and each registered car will receive a goodie bag filled with great swag!

7pm : “Wrap it Up” Gala Party
    $20 per person
Sponsored by Foreign Cars Italia & Ricambi America

Join us as we cap off two fabulous days by joining us for our Gala Party in a Morrison million-dollar condominium overlooking the show site. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, soft beverages and a cash bar (beer and wine) provided by Arooji’s Wine Room. Awards from the day will be announced.

Wow Mike, that is sounding GREAT!! Anyone not attending the reception is certainly going to miss out...

On that note, while the show registration is closed, everyone can still take part in the Friday morning drive, the "Fantail" reception Friday afternoon/evening, and the Gala Party Saturday evening. Just let me know ASAP at [email protected] if interested.

And of course, we look forward to seeing all our friends who aren't showing as visitors at the Saturday show from 11am-3pm. There is no charge for spectators and we will need your help to determine our award winners!

The show is on rain or shine! We are fortunate to have a great underground parking location at this venue if the need is there come morning. So don't let a little (or a lot) of rain scare you off... no doubt you are going to see a great group of F-cars and we look forward to seeing you all out as well!!

Just wanted to say i had a great time at Morrison today,i'm sure the weather kept some cars away.I really enjoyed looking at the cars and talking with the owners.I am partial to the 3xx cars myself, but those Testarossa's and the 512BB's were fantastic! Thanks to all who showed their cars and were gracious enough to share some time talking with me.Maybe in the not to distant future i'll be able to join you as an owner.
    Thanks Again,

Well, we did it again - with everyone's support and enthusiasm, we were able to turn a very "iffy" day into yet another great CAFE event!! With both threatening weather and the local gas crisis conspiring against us, many still braved the odds and came out to be part a great field... not only did we have our registered Ferraris, many brought out their "specialty cars", and FCI had a number of vehicles on display as well.

...and the awards for this year go to:

    Classic 8-Cylinder:
    Jeff Hillegass 1986 328 GTS

    Modern 8-Cylinder:
    Duncan McPherson 2006 F430 Spider

    12-Cylinder:
    Mike McKenzie 1990 Testarossa

    Children's Choice:
    Duncan McPherson 2006 F430 Spider

    Ladies' Choice:
    Duncan McPherson 2006 F430 Spider

    Best in Show:
    Duncan McPherson 2006 F430 Spider

I also want to extend a special thanks to our sponsors and vendors who helped make this event such a success:

    Auto Magicians Paintless Dent Repair
    Foreign Cars Italia
    GMP Performance
    Mastercraft of Charlotte
    Dan McCrary Automotive Artist
    Morrison
    Mother's Polishes, Waxes & Cleaners
    Ricambi America
    Velocity Auto Couture

    Again, huge thanks to everyone!!
