Thank you Rob for sharing here the pictures ! Does i ,we, could know the serial number of this great car perhaps ? Thank you in advance! regards ivo
Any chance of some detail shots inside? I'm working on a CGI model of these and find detail shots of the roll cage and rear cabin hard to find. Cheers
Thank you all for the positive comments. Today was a shorter day however with the tighter schedule left less time for updates. I promise to get more pics up ASAP but please bear with me as I am no pro behind the lens and it takes me a while to go through the 600+ pics for some of the ones I post. I'm getting better just not fast enough As for the inquiries: - 430 Fan is dead on and we are not allowed center lock wheels - I'll be sure to snap a pic of the ID plate and post it here. It is much more impressive than just posting a serial number. - In support of Modelers post I'll do an interior shoot and post it. It is a little tricky to get clear shots as there are a lot of tubes and safety nets that obstruct clear views. In the meantime please spread this link around so that we get lots of coverage for our generous sponsors. Also if anyone is going to be at the 24, PM me and I'll send you my cell number. When there you can call me and we can set something up to show people around the car. For now just one pic of our special guest driver who took to the track today Image Unavailable, Please Login
This afternoon Max Papis tested with the team. His professionalism and pace was high as expected. The photos show how he got on (the first shot was just for fun): Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love the color combo! I will be sure to watch what I can this year in ALMS. Went to Laguna this last year and had an incredible time. I took over 1200 Pics that day. I have a wonderful friend to thank for that day. I'll be @ Laguna again this year for sure. Keep the pics coming and THANK YOU!
the Ferraris that run ALMS/LMS that were at Laguna (Risi, Tafel, JMB) are different than this one - this is a challenge car Carol
Indeed, awesome to see MAD MAX in a Ferrrari, one of our own Fchatters behind the wheel with him is even better. Keep the updates and the photos coming. MB
Max Papis is the best.....what a great guy. He ran the 333SP and you could not ask for a better driver. Thanks a lot for this wonderful thread and Costa's invitation to "drop by"....wow. It doesn't get better than that! Max and Mario both signed my driving suit, when they were at the Texaco Grand Prix here. Best wishes in the race, and thanks again for the marvelous pictures!
I'm in the Denver airport now with the team awaiting our flight to LA. More photos tomorrow but I am happy to announce that Costa led the team in testing. Things are looking good for the 24.
OOPS! My Bad! I also went to the Challenge Race at Infineon the past 2 years. I will be going this year as well. Do you know if it will be at Laguna? I tried to go when they had incorporated it into the Pre-Historics with the F1 & FXX Cliente. But I had something else to go to that couldn't be missed.
If you are inquiring about the Challenge Sked - here it is: 2009 Schedule March 19-22....Homestead Miami Speedway, FL April 17-19......Road Atlanta, GA May 1-3..........Infineon, Napa Valley June 26-28.......Road America, WI July 24-26........Mt. Tremblant, QC Canada Sept 18-20......NJ Motorsports Park, NJ Nov 5-8........World Finals, Italy ALMS race at Laguna Seca is 10 October. Carol what happened ??? #56 doesn't show any times in any of the practices???
Hi All, It took me an extra day but here are the photos from the last day of the Daytona Test. You will see the car's assembly and serial number. A nice closeup of the challenge CF air plenum, Max Papis' solution to a problematic timing beacon, Costa preparing to set the pace, and the final push back to the garage. Hope you all enjoy them. Also at the end is the final team press release. BTW we only ran one car which accounts for why no times were recorded for car #56 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And here some action pics. Thanks for the follow up and ........stay tuned. If you're high on the banking, that means you're passing that Porsche! Forza! In one of the pics, looks like the rear diffuser is gone. Does that hurt at the Kink and at the Bus Stop?
The in action shots are a 'little' better than I could muster with my amateur photographic skills. I hope to do better for the race Yes the Ferrari was passing the Porsche and the missing rear diffuser does not play too significant a role to stability going into the high speed corners. These cars do not rely heavily on aero so a little inbalance is not that big of a deal. A missing front bumper is another story altogether.
