Wow, for a moment there it seems this was a 'who has got the biggest...' thread. Nice! Also like the other LeCoultre and the Harry Winston Ocean Tourbillon. Just picked up the below watch, kinda missed my old Harrods special they made 35 of. It was sold for 3x original price and i really miss it so got something along the same lines. Uses the ultra-thin 1.7mm movement versus the thicker and less rare 240 movement, so very thin timepiece. Bad pic (sorry), so please note that the hands and minute dots are RG too. PS: also have a B&R 03-92 as a track/beater/diving watch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's one great-looking watches, especially the tourbillion .. great choice! Would watches of this calibre still be 28,800 beats per hour?
This is the old Wakmann day date automatic chrono wristwatch. This one is 42 mm wide. Made back in the 1970's. It has the Caliber 1040 which the Omega Speedmaster uses but has,I think the Omega has 5 more Jewels. You just can't beat the color combo on this creature. I still like it after all these years, still runs everything works. This was a big watch for the 70's. The other one is a 16 year old IWC Ingenieur. Bought this around 1993 or so. It is the chrono alarm. Mechanical Chrono movement, and alarm function, driven by two quartz controlled step motors. Screw in crown, Water resistant to 30 meters. This has the sapphier glass. I just sent it in to IWC for a through going through, should be good for another decade. As far as great time keepers the IWC's I had keep better time than any of the Rolex, Patek Philippe, or Breguet I have. They just do not have a great resale in the secondary market like the other three brands I mentioned. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
