Gentlemen Just to let you know that Ferrari will be building a 599 GTO, it will be a strictly limited edition car, offered to invited known Ferrari owners. Will let you know as I have more details, car will be available end of this year. Regards Mike
Sounds amazing. The 599 is my favorite Ferrari currently in production. The gto should only make things better!
You got to be kidding. A 599 GTO? That rocks my mind! The price will probably be staggering. Nice timing too. Now that the market has gone into the dumper I will probably going to end up as just another spectator. I've got a case of green envy for whoever gets to park one of those in his garage. I'm going to be talking to my dealer anyway. Hope springs eternal, right?
What I have heard is that it will be an out and out racing car and not road legal at all and as for pricing I am hearing 1mil Euros being bandied around...could all be wrong of course.
My info is that it is (alas...) only a track version, with the name possibly including part of the FXX moniker. IMO, the resurrection of the GTO badge would be incredible on a version combining everyday ability and improved dynamics.
Are you sure they arent making a 599 GTC package like they did before?...If it is infact, a GTO, then it better be awesome and have some classic Ferrari DNA in it!
That's a lot of dough. This 599 GTO sounds pretty interesting. Hopefully some pics of it surface soon.
That's still child's play Porsche had a profit before taxes for the past business year 2007/08, that amounted to EUR 8.569 billion ..............
Their strategy appears to be that in down times more exclusivity=more profit. And they know there are enough of their customers around the world who could afford to buy more excluive and expensive models. It's no different to any of the other luxury brands. Their financial release for 2008 said "The Italian marque's board met at Maranello this week and revealed 17.6 per cent sales growth for 2008; a record for the Prancing Horse, thanks mainly to strong sales of the 430 Scuderia road car." After all, the F430 sales were declining and they managed to turn that model into a superstar with a hefty premium. And then to top that, seeing how popular the Scuderia was, they launched the 16M - limited edition and an even greater premium. This year is 25 years since the 288 GTO was launched - and we all know how valuable that car has become! The 599's a great car with a legendary engine due to it's link with the Enzo - but it's seriously heavy - imagine the performance if they took a few hundred kilos off?
