Headlight wont come up, 355 GTB -95

    I have had a dead short in my car, a result of bad soldering in the accelerometer, done by the previous owner. After fixing this i now have another issue.

    The right headlight dont pop up anymore when i turn the headlights on. Only the left one comes up. I have swapped the relays, but no.... I thought, maybe this dead short has burned the headlight lifting motor, and cross-linked the power to it. It popped up. So the motor is good. Relays are fine. But it wont come up... Anyone have ideas? I have checked the back of the headlight, and everything is good. No broken spotwelds, and its not scrubbing against anything. When i take the relay out and screw the headlight up manually, it pops down again like it should when i put the relay back in the fusebox. Whatta f..k?

    My, you have been struggling!

    Glad you found the short in the wiring for your other problem.

    I know you swapped the relays, but have you actually checked the fuses for the headlight motors?
    Each motor has one, located in the fuse box on the left side of the car in the front trunk.
    The conditions you describe sounds just like a blown fuse.

    the motor works when i forcefeed it with power. But it doesnt come up at signal. I read somewhere that its the diods that brake down in these motors. Someone know where to get a new diodbridge(rectifier?) or some other tips?

    I have doublechecked the spots where the cables are soldered, but everything seemes good.

    I wonder if this can be fixed...

    Bad diods. Soldered new ones in today, works perfectly now.
