You're right that's confusing, but I didn't post it. Since they'll be in Dallas Wednesday morning, it's Friday. Just change Wednesday and Thursday to Friday and Saturday.
Nice pics! Can't wait to see the SCC... is that license plate "1" on one of the Dropheads THE license plate sold for $14 million?
Great seeing Steve, Justin, Haig, and Scott. Wish you the best on your journey. I am jealous, because I know what a great time you are going to have. Steve and Justin, I sent you an email of todays photos. If you get a chance, please post them for me. Ciao, Steve
Got a few shots of Steve's Maser today... Looks like he got about 2 feet before getting into trouble with the law (or maybe the cop just wanted an autograph?) I'll post the rest of my shots a bit later... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
WE Made it to Vegas. Not too man tickets. Gretchen from OC Housewives got speeding ticket. I believe 115 MPH. We did donuts and a little drifting in the Maserati in the Anaheim Stadium. I wasn't the best. Too much traction control and abut 200 LBs of luggage. Many pictures to post when I recover.
oh great! How was the ride in the Maserati? One more thing, anyone know the owners of the SSC and the gold Bugatti? How is everyone doing in Vegas?
Yes I heard that too. Hmm no Enzos this time? There was on last time the gumball was in the US, but I guess no one wants to put so many miles on an enzo. Anyone else notice there were no 599s or F430 Scuderias there?
This is her right? She was driving an SL63 I believe. From what I saw she was doing the rally to raise money for Leukemia! Image Unavailable, Please Login
oh If that SL behind her is the or she was driving, I didn't pay much attention to it, but I do remember a girl in a Mercedes... Yeah no F430 Scud GT like the one mentioned on the little event poster, but I did see a Scuderia in the opposite lanes. Does anyone have info on what Bam was driving? I know it's a Murcielago, but which one?
I took pics of all the fun at Angel's Stadium. I'll get them posted up tomorrow. My friend took video too.
Yesterday began with a briefing at the Viceroy Hotel, telling us to not go over the speed limit. Thousands of people saw us off at the SM Pier. We went to Anaheim Stadium to watch some drifting and do some of our own. The drive to Vegas was mostly uneventful, but high speed. Scott's, Justin and Haig's and my radar detectors all worked perfectly. No tickets yet. Cops were everywhere on the route. They knew we were coming. On the 15, I was lasered, but for some reason the cop got no reading. The cop looked at me and laughed. Thanks Kevin. Gretchen from OC Housewives got a high speed ticket. Another party at the Hard Rock Hotel. here's a few miscellaneous photos. I will be in Santa Fe (or Santa Flush...or Fanta Se...or the City Different) tomorrow night with my son and my Nikon so I can Nikonize the event. I am looking forward to taking pics and posting them. Any special requests for pics?
Hello from Vegas!!! Gumball is the most unbelievable experience I have ever participated in. Our Porsche Carrera is great. I'm driving with Haig and we had to Gumball our car at the last moment with Purple stars all over it. So great seeing everyone in Santa Monica at the Viceroy. What an amazing experience driving through the crowd on that send off. We had a great drive to Vegas and partied alittle last nite. The Gumball crew really knows how to get the party started. But what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!! Today we are off to Hoover Dam where we eat lunch. Then off to somewhere else ending in Sedona tonite. One of the great parts to Gumball is you never know the route till each checkpoint. So much fun. Want to send out a super big thanks to K-Diddy for the radar detector. The passport was picking up CHP sometimes two miles away. Part of the Gumball fun is definately the cat and mouse game with the coppers. Until my next post Viva La Gumball!!!
The outfit that the woman from 'Housewives of OC' was wearing reminds me of the outfits those girls were wearing in Cannonball Run in an effort to avoid getting speeding tickets issued to them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT1pxzoi90E
