Those of you who have been around the Utah scene for a few years may be interested... http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5744707 Jeff Geddes didn't show for his sentencing hearing.
If you don't know who he is, you probably don't care (and should simply move on to a thread you do care about). For those who do know who he is, this is an interesting bit of information. Long story short, he scammed people/banks, used the money to live a lavish lifestyle, got caught, plead guilty, failed to show for sentencing and is now on the run. That said, here is the text of a news paper article that explains it all...
Ha! I was wondering what ever happened to him. Hmmm, I wonder if he's still driving flashy cars while he's on the run. Thanks for posting.
Time to call DAWG !! Wonder how much the bounty is... hummmm. FYI... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59704
It's in the silver subscribed area, looks like Stackhouse knew the guy quite well and was there when he got busted four years ago. Love the all the photos in that thread.
Stackhouse did know the guy quite well... Stackhouse is who introduced me to him... he has always had interesting stories to tell about Jeff.
anyone interested in a wanted poster... http://www.usmarshals.gov/district/ut/fugitives/pdf/geddes.pdf
That second photo makes him look like someone you would see in Colorado City. Check Colorado City everyone!
According to tonight's Fox 13 news Jeff was captured by US Marshals in San Diego in a casino while playing video poker.
Here's a story on the capture: http://www.kutv.com/content/news/local/story/Utah-fugitive-who-stole-millions-arrested/bJEnYPxJ_0CLoa-6OqdaCA.cspx Stackhouse is supposedly on a 'work trip' (the lucky dog!) and doesn't have much internet and phone coverage (though maybe that was just a cover story while he helped track a fugitive).
Apparently Jeff doesn't run as a fast as his preferred cars. News is reporting this morning that he was arrested gambling in San Diego, CA. They say he has recently blown 100k gambling. Guess he has trouble understanding the difference between a good bet and a poor choice. Hope he likes his new digs! More details to follow, I'm sure.
The trip was strictly business... I swear... wink wink nudge nudge... lol lol My Cover >>>> http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=245900
Welcome back! I said it was a 'work' trip. Are you sorry to see that the law has finally caught up to your former employer?
"Employer" is a strong word, it implies that I was paid for services. No I lost money and much more because of this con. I have Zero sympathy for him. He ruined the lives of many good people he deserves a vacation at Club Fed with his cell mate "T-Bag" ! I am sorry to see it took the law this long to get the job done! Seriously... over 4 years... I don't know who is dumber... the Feds or Jeff ! Ooh well... guess I should start writing that book!
We know the family quite well. We used to live down the street from them throughout all my teenage years/early 20's. The father still lives in Cache Valley.
Guys like that don't see it that way. They have zero remorse for their actions, it's all about number one. I truly believe that they think they are "owed" what they steal.
