    Addendum / Update: I recently ordered a pair of replacement rear engine pneumatic gas struts for my 308 thru a well-known Ferrari parts house.

    I ordered Ferrari number no. 60592800

    What I received was a pair of generic Stabilus struts (in Stabilus boxes w/o any Ferrari markings).

    The Stabilus model number is 1831-BR.

    Perfect fit, work great.

    Cheers - DM

    Does someone know from which Fiat, Alfa or Lancia, the power window switch of 308 GT4 comes?
    Best regards
    Thomas

    For the Early 308 cars that use the Sipea 6010: use a Tridon EL13. I replaced the unit on a '79 GTB.

    The units mentioned earlier do not have the same connector layout. Best to just bring the one from your car to the auto parts store and look at all of them until you find the same pin layout (P,L,+).

    I just replaced my 328's OEM water pump with one from Nick's Forza Ferrari and found that the OEM belt does not fit. It is 20 mm too short. Gates makes both the OEM-sized belt (Gates 7M630) and a larger one (Gates 7M650) which will fit the NFF water pump.

    308 window switches are also the same as Range Rover Classic ('82-'89) - these are $2/each used on ebay.

    Anybody has cross references for the 328 rear wheel bearings
    They are not the same as the ones of the 308/QV/8
    Ferrari numbers: 144807 + 145805 (about 50£/each at Eurospares)

    Also of the front wheel: 112799
    This one is more expensive: over 200£

    I've done the search feature on all I can imagine for this topic. Friend of mine is in dire need of the top latches on his GTS. Factory prices downright scary. Anyone know of a better solution? Does an X1/9 use these? Alfa Spider? Just poking around tryng to help. Thanks in advance. Even if no matches, this thread is a major help.

    Here's what I have:
    Front Bearings- Ferrari p/n 112799 -> SKF 441696M
    This bearing is difficult to find. A local supplier was happy to sell me the 2 last ones in stock for many years :)
    You have to shop around.

    Rear Bearings - Ferrari p/n 145 805 -> SKF 62207 2RS1
    Ferrari p/n 144 807 -> SKF 62208 2RS1 or 62209 2RS1 ? Not sure which ... if someone knows for sure please post !

    * If he just needs the latches rebuilt, I think "Verell" does that at reasonable cost, if he needs the entire latch, he needs to check a Ferrari salvage place. (do a serch for them- gtcarparts I think is one)

    After exhaustive searching I didn't find anywhere that a cross ref # was posted for ignition condensers for the carb 308's. I'm sure it's here on Fchat already but I didn't find it. I was finally able to cross the number online somewhere to a Fiat part # 9942107. Napa didn't have any and said they couldn't even order one. Schucks though was able to pull through and they are now on the car and seem to work just fine. They are slightly smaller than the Marelli ones that came off the car but the car runs great with them on. Oh, and they were $3.99 each!

    I have found a perfect match for the Exhaust Donut gasket on the QV engines at NAPA Auto Parts.

    It is a FELPRO PN# 8194. Originally GM V8 1935-1987 Exhaust Pipe Flange/Ring

    $1.99 each

    Also, the exhaust flange bolts are 2 3/4 inch long 8mm standard threat (since they tend to break when they are old)

    $0.70 each

    Since the brake booster check valve p/n 128435 and earlier version 101538 are truly no longer available, you can use the similar valve p/n 193186 from a late model 360 and 430 is a direct replacement... it's just plastic instead of metal and VERY inexpensive:

    I needed an alternator for a 1980 2Vi and found an Iskra 1-1347-01BO-2 for $120 brand new is basically a drop in replacement for the bosch unit. It came with a longer bolt and spacer to get the tension bracket attached right then I had to swap on the original pulley, leave the rear heat shield off (I could have used it with spacers and longer screws I think but this is a US car with insulated headers so I figured it will be just fine) , and the new alt has an extra terminal labeled “W” that is not used for a 308 (it’s alternator rpm and is used to turn off an ignition light on some vehicles). There is no core exchange so you can keep the original incase you want to have it repaired.
