A car fully engulfed in flames on the right shoulder. Scared the crap outta me......did not want to be anywhere near when the fuel tank gave up the fight. Neil
One of the greatest pics to ever grace the internet. The most unusal, was July 4th of 2002 or 2003....Entering the freeway just outside my neighborhood and there is about 8 cops with guns drawn and one or two guys with their hands on the back of their heads being told to walk backwards slowly I assume.
Not at that time, no. I still remember I had 5 or 6 people crammed in the back seat of my truck headed downtown to watch the fireworks. There wasn't anything on the news about the following day either. Just another day in Houston. lol
I recently saw a laptop on the side of the road. It appeared to be in good condition and still had a mouse attached. I regret not picking it up...
Was going to say that. Lived near Bammel and lived in a subdivision called Windrose in Spring, or wherever that is Decent areas though.
Back in 2000 when my ex-wife and I were driving out to California, we were on some desolate stretch of I-10, way out in west TX, and on the opposite side of the road was a dead bull. Laying on its side, legs sticking straight out. For some reason I felt compelled to u-turn and take a picture of it. When I was standing next to it, the thing was HUGE.....it was about as wide as I was tall.
Eight cops in full body armor loading M16s in a small town in Washington. It was the weirdest thing ever, we saw all these cop cars driving around, then they all pull over and start pulling assault rifles.
Apparently I-10 is the place to see odd dead things. Driving back along I-10 in Mississippi following the 2005 Sugar Bowl we saw seven (yes seven) dead hunting dogs that all still had rigomortis over a 35 mile stretch. Apparently everyone in Mississippi drives with their hunting dog in the back of their pickup and doesn't notice when they get bounced out onto the highway. We actually got to the point of waiting to find the next one and were disappointed when the fun was over.
On Wednesday I saw a 'bum' standing in front of a sign on a street I turned down. At first I thought it was a dummy because he wasn't moving at all and standing completely still. I came back by around 15 minutes later and still there same spot motionless.
We should start taking bets on how long its going to stay there before being picked up by road cleanup crews. Whaddya think? 15 days before its gone?
