No because heat treating can/will distort dimensions. The critical ones are then ground to spec after that process to ensure accuracy.

Brian - sorry if I misspoke - John A. is, indeed, with Ferrari of Orange County at this time. He was formerly part of the group that FNA subcontracted to for North American Service Support. Ferrari then brought it in house. During that period John worked with Lamborghini, and is now back at FOC. I didn't realize that there were two Brits in the U.S., both gentleman, both Ferrari knowledgeable. I incorrectly assumed that AHudson found his way to John A.

At the time John was there, there was not. As of about a year or so ago a Brit was brought over to be the department head.

I still have the pleasure of talking with John every month or so. He was truley an asset to FNA.

As a birthday present frame one and put it over the mantle.

Im in the process of making more carriers with a few extras for stock hoping to not run out again and always have some on hand. Ill post pics for those of you that are waiting for delivery.

Ive had a few requests for TR/Boxer internal gears such as 1st and 2nd. Ive heard of them splitting in half and falling into the pan but not sure how often that happens. I have a guy that will make them so once thats happening ill post progress pics of those as well.

I decided to take my boxer engine out for an overhaul and to install one of my carriers, sure enough someone needed one more than I did so I sold the one I had sitting on my desk that was supposed to go in my own car. Im making more to keep some in stock rather than on demand, some are pre-sold already plus I need one but theres some left for those who need one down the road. The pics are a week old now so those big slugs are looking more like carriers now.

Haven't installed mine yet, since I am doing a total rebuild on my 308 (thanks to you). Once that goes back together I will be installing it. As a owner of a machine shop I can attest to the quality of the product. :)
