When did I miss these: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?cPath=100046&products_id=263872 These will fit on my 89 328 mirrors right? Both sides have been missing since I bought the car. I didn't know Verrell had come up with these. I also didn't know Daniel was selling Verrell's stuff, which is cool. I know I've been out of pocket a lot lately, but damn. I'm so far out of the loop I can't even see the loop. When did all this happen???
They fit my 87' 328. Bought one about 2 years ago and it fits fine. I also put a bit of silicone sealant on it to be sure it won't go missing, at least not easily.
I swear when I got my car a few years ago I looked on FChat for info on these and thought I had determined they were unavailable, but Verrell was possibly working on some. Then I didn't hear anything else about them. $50 a piece though....ouch.
It's a Ferrari! Nothing costs less than $50. I needed one, but bought 2 in case they didn't match or if one got 'lost' in the future. I think when I bought them, they were $45 each.
You guys owe me a couple of beers........... About 10th item down - http://squadranuvolari.com/products.htm Bob.
I just got a pair from Verrell. They fit loosely which explains why so many are missing. I'm sure they get jettisoned. I was thinking of using thread lock or contract cement on mine. I hadn't considered sealant. Does anyone else have experience with an adhesive that worked well and still allowed you to remove the caps?
A couple small dab of black silicon will hold it in place, mine does, it's been 5 years now haven't lost it yet, knock on wood
I just tacked mine with a tiny drop of (thin) cyanoacrylate on each side. It's done the job so far but haven't had the need to remove it. My concern is if it can be removed, it can come off anytime again. Ron
I've been making them since the summer of 2005. See post #91 of this thread. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9490&page=4 Mount them with a bit of black or clear silicone sealant on the mounting tabs. It'll keep them from getting lost, but will release if you ever need to take one off. I also supply the trapezoidal front caps.
