Had a RyJ Short Churchill last night, not too bad, but still can't find one I like better than a Hoyo Petit Robusto.

I had another My Father Le Bijou 1922 tonight in the petit robusto size.

These are my new favorite cigars. I think these can stand toe to toe with most things from the island and with better quality control. Cubans have been hit or miss for me lately. These are full of flavor and have a nice spice/pepper flavor to them. The burn even and the draw is great.

Thanks for the review. I've been in love with anything Don Pepin touches lately, including his way underrated 601 line.

I smoked a 1992 Opus X Churchill last night and was a bit underwhelmed. I'd had the cigar in my humi about 18 months and was expecting something more special. What I got was an un-even burn, kept going out, and a cigar that started pretty spicy, and settling into a fairly mild (for my taste) cigar that was anything but special...

Great cigar! Have you tried their purple bands - their Grand Cru cigars these are some of the best non-Cubans around!

Had a nice 187 Esteban Carreras torpedo maduro after a nice lunch. I've been enjoying them this week, and the price isn't bad at $8 a stick.

It's up there with the RP Edge in strength.... has a really nice coffee and chocolate notes with some peppery kick. Firm yet giving contruction. Thick smoke most of the burn, good draw, very even burn for the four I've smoked.

I always assumed they jacked up the prices a bit for US buyers.
