I don't know if this has been posted yet but I got this from Ferrari of Austin yesterday. Thank you, interesting post. Anyone care to add up all those options and see where the 458 maxes out?
I'm sure most would disagree but I personally think that it's THE nicest Ferrari EVER MADE! Although a 410SA and the Ferris car's are in a league of their own as well as a 250GTO.
What's funny is that none of those options should really change the driving experience much at all. With the possible exception of a seat preference and maybe the LED steering wheel, there isn't anything that strikes me as necessary or particularly desirable to enhance the car. IMHO, of course.
I wonder if the navigation system is as "great" as all the 430s. You only need an engineering degree to use the radio and so called navigation
I have the same thinking. Other than choosing a seat I may add the leather shelf and headliner [i like leather], calipers, electric seats [$5k-yikes], and maybe the LED steering wheel.......and begrudginly the shields for re-sale [sorry]. The other options aren't important in my book. Certainly not the high dollar nav and stereo-not Ferrari's strong suits. I leave Saturday for a factory tour on Monday. Seeing the various cars being built will help me choose the exterior color.
'Bout time they offered the LEDs on the regular wheel so that you didn't have to go for CF to get the lights.
Just for fun, I spec'd mine. LED/carbon wheel, shields, some other low-key items, and I got to $243,447. Then I added up most of the big items (all carbon, special paint, race seats, wheels, blah blah blah...) $304,647. That's amazing! 75k in options!!!!
The suit holder costs more than four times what I paid for my last suit, and almost as much as I paid for my current car!
