thats terrible. Whats more terrible is all these companies lose is money. someone should be allowed to take them out back for a bit and teach them some manners. I am very sorry to hear for your loss, what a horrible thing to go through.

 

It was that statement that blew me away in the article. Not the defective car, not that they rented it out when they shouldn't have, not that the Houcks had to go to court - the "suicide" suggestion.

Makes me ill - and frankly, I don't think $15m is enough for finally admitting negligence. Should have been doubled for not only negligence, but slander too.

 

Now, will they appeal or just pay?

 

WOW.. Just Wow... My Heartfelt Sympathies. I have always hated the PT Looser but now I have a real reason to hate those cars and the folks that make them. Maybe this world is all just coming down to people doing what they say they will. Can we make a safe car? Yes At what cost? Can there be an entry level car for the masses that also has some proper safety engineering? And can big corporations just have a playbook that does not have (Trample on the little people) as one of the plays or policies???????

Wow, So sorry for the loss.

 

We in the industry have known about this since it happened. Words cant describe the loss Chuck and his family have gone through and i only hope this gives him some closure RIP.

 

Having two daughters myself, I am without words and can't even imagine. I am so sorry for your loss Chuck.

I am stuned and saddened to hear about this. there was a story about it on Fox news this morning. Unfortunately, sometimes terrible things befall great people, and chuck is one of the best.

 

Do they actually give awards to Lawyers of the year?
