thnx....
Short answer - no. It seems hardly anybody is ordering a silver 458. There is one picture in post #828 of the 458 picture thread. That is only the second production car I have seen. Some time ago there was a silver pre-production example that was around for a while, see below> Silver seems to be almost invisible on a 458... CH Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here´s a silver (Argento Nürburgring) 458 that I spotted at the factory some months ago. Note the pre-production car in the earlier post is not silver, but Grigio Titanio = grey. Ciao, Lars T. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lars great find the 458 in 'real' silver there! None of the white plastic covering the nose either. With a 458 in silver so scarce; thought I could slip in that Grigio Titanio prototype but it didn't get past your keen eye!!! CH
Bring on the Argento, if I ever have the balls and The $$ to buy a new 458, mine will be Argento just as my 360 is, I love this color!
No plastic on the nose of this one, since it´s being driven over to Zanasi for paint corrections. Ciao, Lars T.
Thanks for the info. Lars any chance you will be going back to Maranello this fall with your camera? Though not during Octoberfest! CH
I´d like to, but probably not (and indeed not during Octoberfest either) I don´t have enough holidays left over this year and I´m saving them up to use them for picking up my new car (VW Passat CC R-Line) at the factory when it´s finished and then drive up north to Denmark to visit my family there. So next Maranello visit will more likely be early spring 2011. Ciao, Lars T.
Would love to see a silver with Bordeaux interior in person......for those of you that have gone to Maranello do they have all the leather and paint samples to peruse?
You don't need to go to Italy to see them. Go to the New York showroom they have all the leather colors and the paint samples. Good luck.
Well the rear wheels are from the Cali. Not sure about the fronts but the wheel offset may be different for wheels used on the 12 cylinder models. For example the optional 16M wheels are not the same as the optional 458 sport wheels plus they are 1 inch shorter at 19 inches. I would check with the dealer for the wheel specifications and compatibility. CH
I saw the Italia in silver at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in june during the FOD. I's really great looking in silver. Eddy
Here's another one, with black roof: http://www.autogespot.com/nl/viewimages.php?id=c214748364826072010115049
