So as far as story behind the car you meant that there is a reason for him selling it (personal gain) and not that there is a "story" behind the car as commonly referred to in the Ferrari community. It is not damaged etc... 1 year from now, this car could have come up for sale and someone would have claimed that that car was a story car but had no facts to support his claim... Thank you for clearing that up!
I was told the wait at Algar is 12 months, so it may not be too long before they reach your six month goal. They did indicate the spider will not be available until 2012 so that my keep demand up until then. I was surprised the wait was not longer. The economy is having an impact.
Unfortunately no. I have been very busy lately and have had little time to enjoy my new "toy". Hopefully things will slow down soon.
jaslally is correct. I was offered one with the above criteria. If you are serious, I am sure you can do your own legwork and get a 458 (with your spec) at MSRP delivered in 6 months.
Different parts of the country have different scenarios Locally speaking I doubt The 458 in question would bring a premium
White 458s are beautiful IMO. On another note, I really wish Ferrari would actively discourage its customers for speculating and profiting from their newer models...similar to Lexus's actions with the LFA. It's ridiculous. If you buy the damn car use it.

On a completely different note on this car: I checked it out on line and the rocker panel splitter is painted body color. I haven't seen this before. I think I prefer the panel unpainted. Painted body color it takes away from the sculpted lower sides. An unpainted panel adds some contrast to the lower edges of the car IMO.
Car looks really good in white. I agree with the comment that the rocker panels look better black or carbon fiber (eventually) to show off the area ruled/coke bottle shape. Taz Terry Phillips
good looking car - i would also prefer yellow calipers, different wheels, and the matt gray roof - any interior pics?
It's a tough white to mix a painted roof with, from what I am seeing and hearing from the owners the paint is coming in poor quality. For the 14k to paint the roof I what have it done locally.
