Don't forget to sign up for the FESTA ITALIANA car display taking place on the grounds inside of the Seattle Center on Sat-Sun Sept 25/26. All "Italian" vehicles are welcome and you do not need to be a member of a car club to participate. It is FREE to exhibit, but you need to pre-register by Thursday Sept 23rd. Here's the online form: http://www.festaseattle.com/autoshowreg.htm This is a really fun car show and there's lots of great food and entertainment to enjoy at the festival too. The registration reads "Classic Italian Vehicle". The would exclude all vehicles younger than 20-25 years of age.
Says who, you? They accept ALL Italian cars, with no restriction of year of manufacture. I have attended numerous times with various vintage Ferraris...no problem. Mike L is a super nice guy too!
ALL ITALIAN VEHICLES are welcome, including scooters, motorcycles, etc.. Last year famous Italian chef "Nick Stellino" and his wife came over to the car display to say hello and try out my 550 for size. He's thinking about buying a Ferrari and he is the featured chef at Festa again. Nick will be doing a cooking demonstration on Sunday (9/26) at 2PM. http://www.festaseattle.com/chefs.htm Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bump.... The last day to register for the show is this Thursday Sept 23rd. If you're on the fence wondering about the weather, I would suggest that you go ahead and REGISTER NOW anyway, since it is FREE and then decide on the weekend morning, if you are going to attend or not. http://www.festaseattle.com/autoshowreg.htm
Can you register and go either day? Not sure of our plans for Saturday as Candy's new(old) Lotus is going to be delivered either Saturday or Sunday. Howard and Candy Musolf 1981 308gtsi 1982 400i Cabriolet Maserati spider 1987 Lotus Esprit 2 many brass era cars
You have to register for each specific day. You can call Mike Lazeratti on the day you can't make it.
The weather forecast changed for the better this morning. Now, they are saying cloudy AM and sunny PM, temp in the mid 70s for each day. Just perfect, but then there's plenty of time for it to go to pot again.
Does anyone know if the streets are torn up between the freeway and the Center? Namely Valley, Mercer and Broad?
I drive through their almost daily, no problem so far. But if you are worried, just exit one before or after Mercer coming southbound. If coming north bound you can always take Seneca and drive down 6th ave...
I was hoping you would chime in. The exit I take southbound would put me on Fairview north to Valley then west to Broadway etc, then west on Denny. Leaving I would go east on Mercer. After watching the news about impending tear-up of the Denny corridor I was unsure what it entailed.
Great event today! The weather was PERFECT!!! I love free parking in the middle of Seattle Center.
