    Taking a client out to dinner in OC - need a place that has a great view and hopefully really great food (steaks are their choice). I really like Maestros in CC, but it doesn't exactly have a killer view. Client is not from CA, so they will want something with an ocean view. Need to be in South OC - anywhere from HB down to Laguna area. One possible alternative is to eat at Maestros and have a drink elsewhere - ? Any help would be great (price is not a factor). Thanks!

    no steaks, but for the view I would hit Las Brisas, and if the clients wants to view some young, hot talent, check out Javier's.

    Cannons in Dana Point has a great view of the harbor and ocean.

    The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove, could be fancier but it is on the beach.

    great location. frankly, my opinion only, the food isn't that good.

    Splashes in the Surf and Sand hotel has good food and an amazing view.

    Andrea restaurant. Outdoor dining terrace at Pelican Hill Resort. Sunset view is awesome.

    I've only eaten there once and I don't recall being either disappointed or thrilled by the food. I do remember that finding parking can be dicey.

    I like Las Brisas but I won't eat on the patio anymore. No free refills on soda? Considering what they charge, that's adding insult to injury.

    I'll have to try a couple of the other places mentioned.

    Second on Javier but if you want more subdue for drinks... Montage in Laguana Beach is a good alternative

    Montage is good, another great spot in laguna or drinks at sunset is the Rooftop Lounge @ Casa del Camino hotel.. my personal favorite. You can eat up there as well, but never had a steak there.

    I was thinking Montage - but I haven't had a steak there yet. Hate to limit it to steaks when we are so close to the ocean, but that is the food choice for this particular guest. Thanks again for the suggestions.
