nice to see two dogs appreciating a yellow CGT :D
It great to see the cars being driven in this way...however I have wondered about refueling on trips of this nature. A friend that lives by me has a few horses in his stable, F50, F40, Enzo, 288, CGT just to name a few and he takes them on business trips all the time all around the country...he drove the Enzo from Houston to Denver sometime earlier this year I believe (he doesnt keep all the cars in Chicago), my question is this; with an avg capacity of 29 gallons on a full tank between all these cars but only a range of about 270 miles per full tank, do you carry any sort of reserve anywhere in the car? a 500+ mile trip is a little more than just going to the next town over.
Nice to hear someone else drive these super cars! Luckily there's a decent station within 50 miles or so wherever you are in Southern CA. We now plan our trips around that after having to turn back a few times in the past.
Sounds like fun Bill! Two of my favorite cars I've never seen those black bumpers on the rear and front before. Is that stock on a US F40?
Yes... also confirmed by LF at the F40 dinner. He said The Commendatore would be of the same opinion.
Thanks for sharing pics with us!!! Those two cars are MUST have's in my book. Nice to see you enjoying them properly!
great pics. must have been a fun trip. will the CS and RS be making a special road trip too? which car out of your lineup do you think is most comfortable for making long road trips?
Interesting. I'm with your wife's opinion on this one. I can fling the F40 around Laguna Seca with no problem, but my CGT is just too tricky when that back end starts to come around - which it does often. Interesting how driving styles add or detract to tastes in car handling and enjoyment. Nice problem to have, however. Tim
We just did a 1,000+ trip in the RS. For us, the RS is by far the best for long trips. A great combo of performance, comfort, reliability and convenience. Even better than the E63! It really is a great car. Thank-you very much! You are so right about driving styles. I have 8,000+ miles in the CGT and only 1,000+ in the F40, so maybe my opinion with change. For me, the F40 is very scary when the road gets bumpy. The CGT seems to stay very planted under those conditions. The F40 (and Enzo) were great at Laguna Seca. I look forward to trying the CGT there.
I cannot wait till I pullover my first Ferrari and see the expression on the drivers face when I say "I'll trade you cars for a few minutes!" LOL
Don't be so cliche Gregg. Pretend like your the biggest ******* cop ever, write out a ticket and then throw the wrench and say. Gotcha!
