Mellow out magspider. Sorry to upset you. Sorry about your Mother's health.

My Mother has had the both upper lobes of her lungs removed in the last 90 days due to Adenocarcinoma. Hopefully the surgeries will buy my Mother some extra time.

I am serious about using the block to support a heavy piece of glass.

Have a Good New Year. Best wishes for your Mother.

Remember, you're selling potential here not an actual known, working, good part for which it was originally intended.

Perhaps the crank, rods, and caps are fine as they are inside. But you are going to have a hell of a time getting anyone to buy that as a usable "engine".

Remove the insides, sell them off, and use the block for a coffee table base.

Look at TopGear UK, where they have a v12 Jag block on the stage set with them.

    Same idea.

    FWIW...
In 2008 a buddy was running Challenge teams for some dlrs/FNA...the crated "long" engines-what you have from the deescriporions-were/are sooo cheap I was stunned...his cost was around 20-22k on the floor...!!!
You can't, machine the components and replace with new, for the cost of a new unit...

This will chaqnge-as it always does-as the supply of these boxed rep.acements are exhausted...then, and only then, will it become financially cost effective to "reman" these core, "reaker yard" units.
And, FWIW, stout units they are.... PS-these are so tightly manufactured, it would be strongly suggested that one thinks in terms of TEN THOUSANDTHS-NOT thousandths...
    FWIW....

To give you an example I needed a 308 drysump block !!! Which are hard to find and through FChat , I found one in Canada . It was from a well repected dealer/workshop and FChat contributer . He had had it in storage for more than ten years ?? and sold it to me for less than a $1000 ??
