Thanks for posting those, very cool - certainly didn't skimp on room at the baseline like most residential courts, but then again you certainly have plenty of room! If tennis over there is anything like over here (and I hear it is) pretty much everything is hardcourt, any reason in particular you went with the clay?

Clay is the best. Well.... grass may be the best but we want to be able to play as much as possible. Grass can be a pain in the ass to keep up, esp with weekly play.

Hard court, which is really asphalt, sucks!!!!

Great day for a drive into the mountains. Gorgeous house, incredible pool! I had a bit of a wet dog as my passenger for the ride home, but he quickly dried off in the breeze.

Thank you to Dr.S for hosting ! Next time, I'll bring a towel for Remy.

I've got to tip my hat -

Despite having all this stuff - you felt so strongly you had to risk life and limb for your fellow Marines, you left it all behind. Glad to see you're not only enjoying it, but sharing. Dangerously pretty, indeed.

Thanks so much again J.R. (and Raleigh) for sharing your wonderful, amazing place with us!!
Darshana & I got to meet a lot of fantastic people and see some we'd not seen in years. Sure is nice to put user names to faces. Dar called us a bunch of nerds, as we were all like "yeah, I'm cgh1 on F-Chat!" when introducing ourselves. LOL

I wish we could have stayed longer but as it turned out, we arrived home just in time to keep the neighbor's fireworks show under control. It was HUGE and we had one major scare when a mortar canon tipped over and shot one of the big blast ball mortars straight into another neighbor's garage , where it set off several fires. No damage to anything living or otherwise thanks to quick reactions from those of us who weren't drinking but definitely confirmed that we needed to return home when we did. Took several of us well over an hour to clean up the debris in the cul-de-sac this AM, and that was after removing the trailer that contained the launching platform, which had tons of debris itself. Should have gotten pics of the aftermath, just for yuks.

We look forward to future events at your place and next time we'll bring Apex - our mutt who loves everyone and EVERYONE loves him. Didn't know pets were welcomed yesterday or he'd been amongst us. We'll also stay to help clean up next time (blush). Oh - and thanks for the bags o'chips!! ;)

Again -GREAT TIME!!! and THANK YOU for hosting !!!!!!!

For those of you who did not make it - be advised, next time you're on the invite list, you won't want to miss it! :D

    Cheers & C U @ d'Track!!

It is rare to show up a total stranger and immediately feel that you are among friends. The pool, food, cars and most of all the people were great and well worth the drive. The Jag made it all 354 miles with only a stop for fuel. Not bad for a 38 year old car with 97K miles.

Hey, just getting back into checking out Ferrari Chat once in a while... sorry that the lovely wife and I missed out on this.

Looking forward to it next year, and the convertible I brought to the cruise day a couple years ago will be looking much better (and much different) this time...

Hope we can wrangle an invite soon! :)
