Stokpro who gave you this price? I got $169k directly from Pat at FoNB. He sold to the original owner and the lead on reselling it. He also sold me mine. I would love to see them get $175.
I wouldn't either, but it is in SCUD range! Buddy of mine just bought a 2400mi SCUD in the $160k's. To each his own. Both are great cars. True!
That's amazing...I tried to get several for 190s in Jan/Feb and was told "no way" by the dealers...I thought wholesale was 160s... The CS may have a shorter life span with me than I thought if Scuds are in the 160s this fall... Now Why the F&%@ are 16Ms still 270-330k! If a Scud is only a 40k premium over a coupe (say 150 vs 190 for an 08) then why are the 16Ms selling at a 100k premium to 08/09 spiders (say 270 vs. 170)... Back on topic...CS prices for the far-fewer # of cars on the market are certainly higher than over the winter. The range in the winter was $110 to $150. Now the range is 130k to 170k. Interesting...
What color is Rosso Dino? Is it orange? From the picture, it does not look dramatically different from Rosso Scuderia. What color is that interior? It looks similar to mine.
It's simply a numbers game. There are far fewer 16M's than Scuds (or 430 spiders) and supply and demand comes into play to help keep prices afloat. And while he paid in the 160k's for a low mileage Scud, that's clearly not the normal going rate for a Scud. I've seen CS's go for under $100k and that doesn't make it the 'market'. But you're right, there are far fewer CS's for sale; about 15 less than over the winter. We always see a dip in inventory over summer. I've seen this car in person, it's orange and definitely lighter than Rosso Scuderia. Pictures don't capture the color very well. Interior is light grey alcantara.
Dah! Figured it was from a credible source. Surprised Pat told me something different. It was probably the Zundel discounted price he quoted me. If it had a different interior I might have even been interested. I love rare, low miles and clean! Oops, I already have one of those!
Indeed, you got 'special' pricing. Not bad, $6k immediately off asking without even asking. That interior is actually pretty cool in person.
If you take a look at what CS prices are doing in Europe, they are generally ranging from $160K-$185K. As more people understand how special the CS is, we won't be far behind.
Very true. We're going to start seeing guys former CS owners get back in the fold. They don't make 'em like the CS anymore...
That'll buff right out. Funny how the AutoCheck report indicates 'no accidents'. LOL! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-Black-360-Challenge-Stradale-/170667459090?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item27bc92c212 Image Unavailable, Please Login
yup that'll be on ebay in a year with "bumper damage" as a disclaimer. the value of my black sans stripe just went up.
Much more helpful if you post the VIN as text not an image so it appears in future searches. VIN #: ZFFDU57A340137278
Made a page for this CS so we can always see the photos of the damage in the future aswell: http://www.challenge-stradale.com/137278.html
Asking 149k for ours at Ferrari of New England...we had been looking for a clean car like this one for quite some time (PS..not easy to find): http://www.ferrarine.com/VehicleDetails.aspx?StoreID=19&stocknumber=P73956A&index=24&sort=cast(MSRP%20as%20decimal)%20DESC&make=&model=&pricerange= Please email me with questions or interest: [email protected]
By some reason, the worn-out and likely heat cycled out Corsa tires must have been the cause for such accident. Running that car on those tires is just negligence.
Awesome site! Just a few things... I have 139953 as 575M (do you have proof of otherwise?); 132915 and 137044 are in Germany. I have 135382 on different plates (BCE 94Q) - the plates you note on the site, are those old plates, or new plates?
Thank you! 139953 (according to them) is for sale at ifsferrari.com, perhaps they've made a mistake with the VIN? Link: http://www.ifsferrari.com/inventorymanager.php?action=view&Id=210154 I'm not paying alot of attention to the plates. I usually just list the plates I've seen on pics or received from people by email. So they can be the old or the newest plates But I am very curious about 139953 cause I don't want any mistakes in the VIN's. Thanks for 132915 and 137044; I'll update that in my registry!
Plates are very important (I learned this the hard way ). Okay, I figured it out. The check digit in the VIN listed on IFS' site is a one (1); but if the serial number corresponding with that VIN is really 139953, then the check digit should be a three (3). So an incorrect check digit is a small but important detail in determining if they're right, or if we're right. Second, 139953 (as a 575M) makes sense since it falls into a string of 575Ms. Third, back in July, 2008, I spotted a Rosso Scuderia Challenge Stradale - 139353 - and it had an IFS license plate frame (and people laugh at me for notating the license plate frames). In addition to this minute but personal detail, it also had yellow-tinted front lenses - as is barely noticeable in the single picture on IFS' site. Mystery solved! (I really need to get a life)
