What exhaust do I have? (PICS)

Looks factory to me. The tips look different with the rolled edge though. I am not sure if maybe the internals of the exhaust make it a "race version". Im sure 360 enthusiasts will chime in....

 

I would venture a guess that this system is like the standard Challenge Stradale system which I understand was optional on a 360?

 

Although you have a factory part, I don't believe it was an option.(correct me if Im wrong) The factory standard unit is very long, almost touching both sides of the engine bay. The tank is from a CS/430. The tips look like CS.

 

I agree with gmast827. It looks to me like a F430 muffler with Challenge Stradale tips. Anyone have a pic of a Challenge Stradale muffler?

 

That's the same muffler in my cs, bypass the valves for sweeter exhaust note

 

The 360 did make a factory option race exhaust available. If was an actual option from the factory and was basically what became the standard stradale exhaust. If you look on Ricambi's site you could order it there.

No. There were no optional factory exhausts on the 360. However, the part numbers of the Challenge Stradale and the F430 exhaust cans are the same.

 

That is incorrect. There was an option for a "sport exhaust" on later model 360's. I know that it was available in 2004 for a fact. The exhaust shown in the pictures is exactly that. In fact, one just became available on ebay:

CS exhaust/ optional 360 sport exhaust.
This is a much better exhaust than the factory standard. Retail probably around 7K new back in the day. As an option OEM about 5K. Used about 2-3K.

Very good exhaust. Keeps your car factory spec and keeps your exhaust warranty intact for up to 8 years.

Sound better than after market and gives better performance than after market because Ferrari designed and tested this unit. Also is significantly lighter than stock.

I have this unit myself.

 

Sorry but nothing sounds better than a Capristo level 3 or a Kreissieg f1 exhaust.

 

I was behind a 360factory with this exhaust at an event and it sounded great!
