Jon I took a beating, no doubt about it, but it was a great life experience. I think I was the oldest contestant on the show at age 45 and I did pretty damn good. The water you fall into is 42 degrees! It is so cold it lieterally sucks the energy out of you and disorients you some. The things that hit you, hit very hard (hydraulics). It was truly one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, but I am big kid and being on this show was something I really wanted to do. You will get some big laughs for sure as they make you do the stupidest crap for the interviews and the battle shouts which I did 6 different ones so I am interested to see what one they used. Yes, it's supposed to rain but I'll be there no matter what due to the Toys R Us Run after SCS. Brutal! Good for you, can't wait to watch.

Todd you get a whole $10.00 per day of filming for gas LMAO and nothing else unless you are the one winner out of the 24 contestants. I framed my first $10.00 with my Wipeout! parking pass as a momento.
Very cool, my cousin was on the show and she had crazy bruises afterwards too. Our whole family (+ friends) got together at a bar a few months ago and watched her "wipe out" on national TV, good times. I'll try to watch your episode too.
It seems there is no shortage of people who are gluttons for punishment! Glad you had a good time doing it. I'm a big fan of MXC, & while Wipeout has some similar elements, it just doesn't entertain me as much as MXC. I think that writing on MXC was much more adventurous & funny, & besides, how can you compete with Vic Romano, Kenny Blankenship, Guy Ledoush, & Captain Tenneal?

Well I am getting early reports from family back east that I got very little air time. They apparently focused on just wipeouts and on some specific people out of the 24 of us. I defeated 3 of the 5 obstacles on the first course and with 24 contestants and a 1 hour show alot of stuff got cut. Bummer. The good news is they are sending a link for me to get photos of my runs doing everything supposedly so I will post those after I get them tomorrow. So enjoy the show anyways.
