Been here awhile. Some of you know me. Winter time is usually a good time to buy cars and drive here in the deep south. Weather is cool, less rain, other parts of the country are getting that stuff called "snow". This is our best time of year to drive. My muscle cars are gone, don't want any more of them. My 911 Slopenose sold, had 6 911's, not sure I want another one right away. A 208 and series one 308GT4 under my belt of ownership, dont want any more 2v cars unless that have had a valve job. Same for the 2v carb 308's. i miss my euro QV. My 328 is officially a total loss. I was hit while stopped at a traffic light. Topic for another thread by me. Had a Lotus Esprit, that car hated me, may consider a nicer newer one. Had a Pantera, did not like it , dont want one. Dont want or like Vipers or NSX's. So here I am with just my paid for 10 year old truck. Have cash in hand. Where the hell are all the fun cars at? QV's and GTSi 2v cars are at crazy asking prices for some reason. Not sure what cash prices are now. Early carb cars? Too high, and see my valve job comment. What fun cars, Ferrari or not can you guys / gals recommend? Where ARE all the "fun cars"?
Jaguar XKE, series 1 OTS. That said, the Cobra Replica for sale in the sponsor links has my eye... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=140978897#post140978897
Brand new 100th Anniversary Corvette Z06 6 speed, black/black/black with little red stripes on the wheels that emuate the reds tripe tires of olden days.. Sticker says $90K. Black makes its butt look big.......
that's a great idea, another fchatter just bought one as an upgrade from a very well sorted (and modified) 993 turbo. Lotus Elise/Exige, maybe? also, there's a nice 348 Speciale in FerrariAds, I think those are the 348's to have. no driver nannies either, except for ABS. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=8302
Maserati Grandsport spider. Best fun you can have with a true Italian car for about 30 grand. Marvelous V8. Rare. Comfortable yet sexy. Who can argue with looks like this? And, when someone asks you what it is, you can say "It's a Maz-er-ah-tea!" Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool car. Once had a 2004 Spider, one of the best looking cars ever. Much better than a Ferrari. Too bad about the paddle shifters though. I drove a C63 over the weekend. I don't like the, ah, third-world styling; but, what a hot-rod Lincoln. An even better bet is the 2006 C55 I used to own. Man, oh, man you gotta love a hot-rod V-8. You should be able to find a good one in the low 20s or high teens. However, if I was looking for a fun car, check out a 2003/2004 Porsche twin turbo. Yeah, baby. Come to poppa! You should be able to find a good one around $40k. If that doesn't float your boat, and you have the dough, spring for a 996 GT3 (or a GT2). Say hey Mama, have you heard the news? Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove. Dale
It depends on what you're after. This does a good job of pulling my pucker string: Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ok I'll spell it for you: T-E-S-T-A-R-O-S-S-A...Duh! Best badazz $/cylinder ratio on the market! It will blow your oh-hum car blues out the window. And, as a bonus, bring that smirk when you get on the loud pedal... Don't stand there...Go buy one! Just my 2 cents. Have a nice winter.
I miss your old Euro car too! Here is a cheap 328 for you. http://jalopnik.com/5861242/for-27500-in-loonies-put-some-prance-in-your-pants
