New Aventador wrecked last night

I saw that this morning. What an idiot. And who was the driver?

 

Glad that all involved walked away. No one ever likes to hear about a gorgeous car being wrecked but a very good reminder of just how unimportant cars really are in the big scheme of things.

 

I'm sure someone has Jim Adler on speed dial.

I like that the driver didn't expect it to be so powerful. WTF was he expecting?
Another idiot buying an exotic supercar for jewelry, who should have stuck with jewelry.

Ugh.

 

I'm pretty sure this is the same car. This pic is from November. Not sure if it's the same driver.

I always wonder how people say they were so surprised something was so powerful. Who the **** gets in any car and just mashes on the gas?

But it was on the top of the driver's sun visor......

 

I bet it was the white Aventador that Lamborghini of Houston had at the unveiling party. So sad to see such a gorgeous car not only in the hands of someone who doesnt appreciate it, but in pieces

 

Just to be clear...that was NOT our Aventador last night. Our (Lamborghini Houston's) white car is sitting here in the showroom as I type this.

Do we know if the owner is/was the owner?

I think it is very interesting someone who was leaving a bar at 2 am had not been drinking at all and didn't know how to drive it. Seems like being a guy that can buy something like that, you would know how to drive it in a parking lot sober. Sounds like the owner could have been drunk and called a friend to pick it up. I also haven't heard that there was anyone else in the car.

 

I could have swore I saw the car Friday night downtown. Got out from the opera and walked towards Bayou Place. As I recall, it was a new white Lambo with paper plates. It *looked* nice.

 

I suspect the owner is/was indeed the owner. That's why they call an owner...an owner.

 

How do you know he didn't appreciate it?

 

The story given makes absoultely no sense at all. The real story is something else entirely.

 

What I've been told is that the guy bought the car new (and out of region) in Chicago and has had the car for a week...so it's not the same car that LoH has been taking around town (Coffee & Cars, Auto Show, etc). He was sober at the time of the incident and apparently has some sort of problem with one of his legs. He "isn't familiar" with the car and basically mashed the gas and lost control, hitting a couple of parked cars and flipping a few people over the roof. I think the police were labeling it as an accident, therefore didn't arrest the guy since he wasn't intoxicated.
