Has anyone found a source for 16mm (5/8") cloth braided hose? I though it would be available from German car part specialists, but no such luck. I found 15mm and 17mm but no 16mm. I'm replacing all true fuel-carrying hose with US made SAE30R7 but would prefer to use the OEM style for the visible vapor/vent hoses. Alternately, has anyone used the 15mm or 17mm stuff with no issues?

Dennis, did you try Autohauze sp? I bought braided line from them in all sizes. Phone 1.800.240.4620

They are reasonably priced and give great service. I buy parts for my German cars there.

I've called them too...no 16mm fuel line...only 16mm heater hose. I hope to stay OEM style, but I'll d*mned if I'll pay $100/ft to Ferrari sources for $5/ft hose.

I'd drop them a note, it's probably a typo (an extra "1" in there).

I already did. Waiting for a reply. But it may be correct since 16mm appears to be used only by Ferrari.

would be the 16/23mm Cavis Benz hose which was used on most of the 3x8 cars. Very few of cars that we've serviced have cloth braided hoses in the vent locations.

I got a response today. It's $12.75/ft. My faith in humanity is restored. Vapor only though; which is OK. I'm using SAE30R7 hose where ever it carries fuel.

Good find Mike! I went deep in Google for both Cohline and Contitech and they didn't come up. Just shows that Google has serious omissions.

They only sells by the meter and kind of pricy but this is where the Ferrari restorer get their hoses. Sorry I didn't order 16mm but this will give you an idea, for the 22mm and 19mm hose, they are both $39.50/meter, 18mm is $42.50/meter, and 14mm is $34.52/meter, ope this help. I got pics here:http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356565
