    IF I recall correctly, Herb up and left *pronto* when some members [myself included] lightly admonished him after he made a rather surprising [and otherwise forgotten] comment. All anyone was suggesting was it just seemed completely out of character for him to say whatever it was.

    Like I said - IIRC - as above could have been another feller.

    Regardless . . . what prompted him to leave was the last straw for him.

    Actually, he split on his own. Supposedly, he was going through all the steps en route to Classiche Certification, in Italy. Next thing we all knew, damn car was on eBay. Never came back.
