Ahhhhh. After 19 days, my 456M was ready this afternoon. It was after 4PM when I picked it up, so I just took a quick spin out I10 to US87 and Fredricksburg. Then over US290 toward Austin, and back down US281 to San Antonio. A hundred miles or so.

Here's Jim with my car as I was about to leave Barrett, the 456M next to my main squeeze RAM, and a couple of other shots in the setting sun.

Tomorrow I plan an all-day drive, and I take some pix in pretty surroundings.

The driving shoes fixed the problem with the pedals being close, and everything ROCKS.

Well, you had better weather than I had today. It was gray and misty in the Texas Hill Country, but I did 300+ miles nonetheless. No new pix, partly because it was gray and partly because I DIDN'T WANT TO STOP. lol.

Car is tight as a drum, but my P-Zeros are old, dried out, and hard, so they rumble quite a bit unless the tarmac is smooth as a baby's bottom (I'm sure their grip is less than optimal as well). I think the Nitto NT555's come in the right size for the Barchetta wheels, so I might try those, as they are supposed to be quieter than either the P-Zeros or the Pilot Sports (I've run only Nittos on my truck for many years, and they are amazingly silent, even with the Terra Grappler tread pattern).

    More tomorrow!

    Cheers,

    George

I will look into those. Thanks for the tip.

In four days, I've put 1,125 miles on my 456. HA!

Did a night drive yesterday, and am amazed at how bright the high beams are. Very confidence inspiring. I spent a few hundred dollars on aftermarket lights to get my pickup in the same class. Impressive.

    Cheers,

    George
