Cross out Fusion and replace it with Taurus SHO and I would drive it.

    Actually, not sure about that...

I think Ford knocked it out of the park for a car in that price range.

I think it looks great, Aston looks for a tiny fraction of the price.

Wow ...Ford has no shame LOL

Have to say it looks fantastic. By far the best looking car in its price range.

if you are going to copy, copy the best.

Ford has been doing a really great job across the board, IMHO. The designs are all appealing.

Very similar design, but I like it nevertheless.

Considering Ford owned Aston Martin, and directed the path of AM into its current form, they are kinda copying themselves.

Borrowing styling cues is a time honored tradition in the auto industry. The first Lexus was a virtual copy of a Mercedes, The profile of the Eagle (from Chrysler) mimicked that of the Audi 5000, and the Jaguar XJS was influenced by the Camaro.

I love the new Fusion and, since the DB9 was designed under Ford's watch, its not really stealing.

It isn't grabbing me, maybe when I see one in the flesh....

I do like the original 2006 model, reminds me of a CTS and for some unknown reason a '65 LTD ???? Must be the grille and classic greenhouse ;).

I've got a DB7 Vantage in my shop now. Under the skin, a lot of the car is Jaguar XJS for twice the price.

I like it. But I've liked the fusion since it first came out. Always been a good car. I'd rather have the Fusion then a Taurus any day.

Yup. Keeping resale values low.... The DB7 will be the most affordable Aston for quite a while (next to the Valiant) ;)

    Wow, Ford is shameless.

There really is no logical reason for them to suddenly ape the Aston grill this closely.

How long before we see a bunch of econobox Fords everywhere in Aston green sporting Aston side strakes and Aston badges?

One of these and a Bentley-grilled 300C, you'd have yourself the perfect wannabe car combo.

None of your examples are even remotely as overt as this. "Influenced" is an understatement.

That's not how it works. This would have been fine if they still held majority stake in Aston, but they don't, they sold it. The new owners could sue for trade-dress infringement and they would very likely win.

Hummer used the seven slot grill with round headlights. Jeep sued and lost. Avanti built a suv concept off an Excursion and it had boxy body work amd a seven slot grill. GM sued and won...

Shameless maybe, but it's a good looking car, especially for the price.
Look at an early land rover, land cruiser, and a jeep. All basically the same.
