Done! You can have it for $25k. So long as you buy the two sets of spare Challenge wheels and Challenge exhaust for another $25k.... vty, --Dennis
PM sent. Though, fyi, a fellow FChat member is coming to inspect the car later this week, and while I was up in Montreal for the GP race, someone else expressed an interest, so I expect that it will be gone, one way or another, soon(ish). vty, --Dennis

Well, I had registered my 355 CH for a year, and did drive it to/from a couple of events. Fun, but running some risk there. And, thanks, Peter, but, alas the pricing doesn't quite translate from Australia to the US! vty, --Dennis
seems to be about where 348 C's ended up about 5-7 years ago. I think in USA all the track days, membership tracks, Challenge Club Racing, FCA Club Racing, NASA legal, and SCCA legal help our values a little. Also that the 355 Challenge is easily a DIY'er racer, unlike the 360 Challenge and beyond. You are right though, a car only good for collecting dust in the back of a garage is worth $30-40k.
360C is DIY car! Very durable and reliable (also for road use) Can be bought in Europe for far less than 40k euro. Spares are available almost in every (european) country. Maybe prices will go up in future? I doubt it, 360Cs are produced in large numbers.
I always thought the Challenge cars should be worth slightly less than their road going counterparts due to the limited ways these cars can be enjoyed. Am I correct in saying that is the philosophy most people have?
I have always seen Challenge cars less than their street cars. However, in last couple years there have been some $60-75k 355 C's change hands which I believe is a little above the street cars.
360 Challenges seem to be close to par to their street car siblings. 430 Challenges have taken a fairly precipitous drop over the last 4 years or so, to the point where they are slightly less expensive than 430 street cars. On 355s, since I first asked this question, I've gotten some data. Seems to be in the $40k-$70k. Big range, yes, but that will vary very much depending on service(s) needed, and whether spares are included. For example, I have three sets of Challenge wheels, so depending on whether the wheels are sold separately or not (as well as two exhausts), it impacts the final sale price materially. vty, --Dennis
When I raced w/ FoW's team in the early 2000's, we bled the brakes without the SD. Not the optimal way to do it, but doable. At one point we had 8 cars, and we simply couldn't do all that brake bleeding with the SD - it was too time-consuming. But we did as necessary (if brake systems were disassemble for any reason, such as caliper or rotor replacement). FWIW. gp
